What are you playing right now?

Got both Dungeon Keeper games off of GOG for like $3.

I just started the first one, and I'm enjoying it a lot so far. Right now, I'm a tad bit overwhelmed by it all, but somehow I stumbled my way past the first two levels.

The music is amazing.

Yume Nikki, it got rereleased on Steam for free. I used to be so scared playing it as a young teen, but now it's kind of a sad game. It does a really great job of creating an atmosphere of isolation, whether intentional or unintentional.

I've been playing Project X Zone. Currently on Chapter 37, and I plan on completing the entire game before I jump onto Project X Zone 2.

I'm trying to do an XBox One run through on Terraria one last time before the next update syncs it to the PC version. (Certain bosses and content are getting deleted.)

First problem is I loved this game on Xbox 360 and am kind of bored on Xbox One. RNJesus is not helping matters, in that I'm getting really weird in-world finds (18 Shark statues, zero slime statues, etc.)

Second problem is that the PS4 is already updated, so I'm guessing the rug gets pulled out from under my feet any day now, long before I'm done.

Just finished NieR: Automata and got all the endings. Even though managing to get Ending E was one vaginal cramp and a half, it was in terms of vidya one of the best rides I had for a long time. Already looking forward to play it again.

They are Billions

RTS zombie hoard tower defence. One of those rare good early access games.

I'm playing this too. Here's a handy RLM gif to help my feelings for this game:

Well I finished Night in the Woods a couple days ago, but I’m planning on starting another run of it tonight and doing what I’m calling a “sweeping” run. I’m gonna basically sweep the entire map every day and try to find and do absolutely everything that I can so I can see as much as I can.

Other than that, I’m somewhat playing Breath of the Wild every now and then. Depends on if I feel like being on my comp upstairs or my switch downstairs.

Local pawn shop had a copy of Silent Hill 2 for the PS2 and despite the price I picked it up (Same price as a newly released PS4 game, and considering I don't have a current gen console I think I'll get more out of buying something for my old PS2). I played up until the first monster encounter before I got called away earlier, but people weren't kidding about this game's atmosphere. The fog preventing me from seeing anything, the subtle hints of the music track, how my character starts panting after a run, how freaking loud my steps sound, the sounds of something crunching under my feet or splashing in the water. Even before seeing a monster I was getting creeped out.

Playing the original Ape Escape. Loving the game and it really makes me want to play 2 and 3 again as well.

Those games really hold up for being the "demonstrate our controller's new gimmick" of their day. I tried the PS4 version of Ape Escape 2 the other day and the up-res does a nice job, especially versus the buggy emulator performance. Would recommend!

I remember watching footage of the PS4 version of 2 and being kinda surprised that there were British voice actors.

Then I looked back at the American version and realized Jimmy (Hikaru as he's actually called) and Natalie are both voiced by the people who did Ash and Misty. They're even the same characters practically! Jimmy even has his own little sidekick in the form of Pika- I mean Pipochi.

I still wonder how I never caught that as a kid.

You should try buying Playstation 2 games from thrift stores or flea markets. I rarely pay more than $5 (at thrift stores) or $10 (at flea markets) Canadian for PS2 games (although I could see PS2 game prices for "common" games slowly creeping up in the near future like Dreamcast games have over the past couple of years).

I bought Silent Hill: The Room for just $5 at a Value Village (a.k.a. Savers) a few months ago.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 has been a great game, beat it once already and started it again in Honour Mode, there has been few scary moments that were bit too close, but I'm still alive
