What are you playing right now?

I got tired of the grind after 300 hours on Monster Hunter world so stopped after the last boss. I've moved onto Neir:Automata now.

Just got Super Metroid and Link to the Past on the eShop.
Super Metroid is a fucking masterpiece.
Haven’t gotten far enough in LttP to give a solid opinion on it.

Link to the Past is fucking awesome, it's one of the best Zelda games and the best SNES game (there are controversies, though. Some lists consider LttP the best SNES game, and some consider Super Metroid it).

I bought a Brawler 64 controller for my N64 so I'm currently playing through Ocarina of Time with it, going to move on to Majora's Mask when I beat this. Might 100% it for the first time.

Star Wars: Dark Forces (nice old school difficult FPS fun from the lighter side of the Expanded Universe. But oh God, the platforming.)

Axiom Verge (Metroidvania done right, and best of all, portable on my Switch.)

Playing Total War: Warhammer 2/Mortal Empires. Mortal Empires is a free dlc that brings Warhammer 1 and 2 together into one big map with the combined factions/armies from each game. I just finished a short campaign as High Queen Khalida of the Tomb Kings. Now I'm starting a Vampire Counts game as Vlad and Isabella Carstein. Undead are fun.

Might & Magic 7. The four man party consist of joke names. Surprisingly, I managed to progress on with the storyline, even if it's not far in. Still feel like my party may be gimped though.

I took a break from my Vampire Counts campaign in Total War: Warhammer to play as the Dwarfs. I was drinking heavily to demonstrate my commitment to being in-character. It was a drunken brawl and I loved it. This one unit has magical(?) flame-throwers. Pretty fun.

I used to like the strategy aspect of Total War more than the real-time battles. Is it worth it just for the strategy part?

Yes, I think it is worth it for the strategy aspect alone. To give you a frame of reference, I've played the Total War games off and on since the first game (Shogun I think) and I think it gives a turn-based strategy experience consistent with previous Total War games.

It's also fun to me as someone who knows a little bit about Warhammer and has always wanted to learn more. This is a nice way to do that without buying $500 in models and spilling paint on my carpet.

Going through new vegas again. Low intelligence is always fun. Also playing R6S on the side.

Just played through the first half of Dusk, a retro FPS inspired by Quake and Half-Life. It's pretty fantastic so far, it's like if Quake was just the hell levels and it had a Texas Chainsaw Massacre theme instead of sci fi. Also you can dual wield shotguns, which is always cool. It's in early access, but only the final stretch of the game has yet to be finished and what's already there is well worth the $20 asking price.

Might and Magic 8: Day of the Destroyer. Decided to give it a serious go after watching some videos by this guy.
Playing it as minotaur because why not? Outside of maybe World of Warcraft, you don't have many other games letting you play as a bull-headed humanoid.
So far, I may not be doing too bad though most of it can be chalked up to getting a dragon in my party which even with the weakest member makes my party rather OP in terms of damage output.

Also played some Might and Magic 7: For Blood and Honor but that party was given more of joke names. At least it lets me play as a goblin that isn't the size of a dwarf.

Playing the original Left 4 Dead.

Happy to see there's still a decent number of people playing. Also no chargers makes certain sections of the game a lot less stressful.

Still playing HOI4. Had a go at the Asian nations under Waking the Tiger. I ran through a Warlord, Com. China, Nat. China, and Japan. Had the most fun as Guangxi Clique and Com. China.

Will give HOI4's Kaiserreich a go too given I played the HOI2 version a long while back and found it decent.

Playing Trails of Cold Steel II. At the final dungeon, (or at least I'm sure it is. The first fuckin' game got me good with that "last boss" that was actually the fifth to last boss) and boy howdy is it a slog. Laura running a full UNGA BUNGA kit and me having access to a max level Megalith does make it easier but it's still time consuming.
