What are you playing right now?

Morrowind on the Xbox One. Game isn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, but Jesus Christ does your character move like a slug. It's almost making me reconsider starting the game over with medium armor instead of heavy armor, but hopefully I'll find some equipment that will make me run faster.

Been playing off on some side quest in Skyrim, specifically in the Dragonborn expansion.

Medium armor tends to be useless due to the armor pieces being limited compared to light and heavy. Raising speed and athletics will help you move faster though.

Startopia, a very old (2001) and very good management game made by ex-Bullfrog employees. Its atmosphere really reminds me of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

ELEX, again.

This time I'm doing a high cold / Berserker run.

Sorry, but even the strongest longbows and spells aren't a patch on the frankly broken PSI Singularity ability you get if you join the Clerics.

I still maintain, though, that "Road to Calaan" is one of the best and most atmospheric quests I've ever played in any game ever. It's up there with the "Family Matters" quest in Witcher 3 and the "Scrambled Eggs" quest in Baldur's Gate II.

recently finished yakuza 0, hoping to get the remaster of 1 pretty soon. amazing series and game for playstation owners if youre looking for something slick and sweet that makes your weewee tingle. i also started playing runescape again recently, very unfortunate

I had to put down Kiwami when 6 came out this week because impatient and holy shit am I glad I did. I’m taking PTO tomorrow to be trash and play it all day (SO is doing the same for God of War, it’s good week for new games). It’s gonna be a good day. I’m only 5-6 hours in so far but it really just seems like a better looking 0 with more stuff to do and more satisfying mechanics (but I’m not a fighting game person outside of the series so I wouldn’t take my word on that).

But I agree, any PlayStation owners who haven’t played 0 need to do so immediately. I hadn’t heard of the series before picking it up so granted my expectations were non-existent but that game blew me the fuck away. Every aspect of it was just so polished and felt meticulously executed.

I will stop sounding like a SEGA spokesperson now.

Left 4 Dead 2. Heavily modded in replacing character models, one can call it a peak of tism.

Tried starting up Alone in the Dark 2008 again.

I get the urge to try it every few years, but it's so godawful shitty I always give up. And I just gave up.

The first Mercenaries game for PS2 (via emulator). Took me a while to get it running - it requires messing with PCSX2's emulation settings to work more or less acceptably.
It only works in software mode (with a bunch of graphical glitches) and thus looks like absolute shit. But it's a very fun game nevertheless. Shame it wasn't ported to PC.

That reminds me its coming out on backwards compatibility on the Xbox One. I need to find a copy, I haven't played that in years.

I've been playing a mix of Warcraft 3 and Let It Die. I downloaded Let It Die on a whim and can't stop playing it. Something about running around in a labyrinth of tunnels and alleys resonates with me. Also exploding people into blood clouds helps.

Been getting into Children of a Dead Earth lately my lads. I'm a currently trying to beat Vesta Overkill, but I think I got the trick to it. Really I bought the game mostly for it's intended purpose rather than as a game, which is to say designing and understanding how near future space combat will work. Specifically I realized we're two lasers on a BFR away from actual ship based space warfare, and decided I needed to understand what that would look like.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, just used a glitch to get past the gate near the Duty checkpoint and sat back as a squad of Duty soldiers wiped out a Freedom patrol and looted their corpses.

The Long Journey Home, a roguelike spiritual successor to Star Control from Daedalic Entertainment (a German developer best known for their pointy-clicky adventure games such as Chains of Satinav, Memoria, the Deponia series, Edna & Harvey, etc.)

It's fucking awesome. Even on the easy difficulty it's still tough as nails. I'm doing a Let's Sperg of it if you're interested...

Total War: Warhammer action continues. Finished a Short Campaign as the Empire of Man. Artillery and fire wizards go great together. Now I'm starting another campaign as the Vampire Counts. Every faction in this game has a different flavor and mechanics that keep it fresh. It's a good time, especially with a few beers :)

Currently trying to finish up FE: Echoes. In the middle of the final boss fight right now. I really enjoy this game but I swear, I've never had such awful luck with level ups in the series before.

StarCraft 2 co op. I got the co op stimpack for having Fenix already, so I've finished up to mastery 90 and hit 15 with all the commanders.
I've also been playing Vermintide 2. It's a worthy successor to the original, but this whole "hero power" thing is a little... irritating. I'm being forced to level characters I don't even want to play (Sienna, Bardin, and Kruber) so I can hit the cap on hero power and go back to Kerillian and do Champion. Also, I feel the "careers" leave much to be desired. It feels like everyone has one career the devs intended you to play and the other two are just garbage or mediocre.

I've been playing FTL since last month, and all I can say is

WHEN? RUWEN!
