What are you playing right now?

Started playing Isonzo and it looks like it's going to be one after my favourite FPS after RO2/RS1. It's also great to finally see a game set in one of Gods greatest gifts to humanity, the alps. They definetly need to add more maps in the future tho. I just hope it doesn't die like Tannenberg.
I wanted to get either Isonzo or Beyond the Wire but I've heard that the servers are quite empty.

I've been playing Isonzo for the past week or so. My recommendation is that, its an improvement on the other two games of the series.

Gothic 2 NotR.

They made it into one of those uptight RPGs where you need to swueeze every quest and kill every monster to be able to progress. You can also fuck yourself completely if you make the wrong choice (for example taking strength and dex potions too early) and you need to hog a guide to be able to play it properly.

It's not very fun...

Trying some spooky games for Spooktober. Wow a lot of horror games suck.

Blair Witch - walking around trying to figure out what to do, with the world's loudest-breathing dog companion, really shallow and stereotypical use of PTSD, every time things get intense or spooky the main character falls into these hallucinations where he's back in the deserts of the Middle East which kinda defeats the whole purpose of a Blair Witch game, didn't finish

Cat Lady - indie, got a lot of praise, plays like a literal flash game so uninstalled after 15 mins of play

The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark - really cute, not a spooky game though

The Beast Inside - indie, got a lot of praise when it came out, Jekyll and Hyde twist is laughably obvious and the plot/pacing/tone is all over the place, tries to do a lot of things and none of them well, dropped it after about 2 hrs of play

House of Ashes - has been on my to-play list since I watched a couple mins of Jersh's playthrough, didn't like Man of Medan but this one was pretty solid if not all that spoopy, Dark Pictures Anthology obviously listens to the fans and toned back jump scares and dialed in on better writing and dialogue, less "America bad" than I thought

F.E.A.R. - never played it and it's fine I guess, 95% shooting at bad guys and 5% jump scares with a little girl, idk might not finish as I don't enjoy single player run and gun FPS usually

On the bright side the gameplay footage of the RE4 remake has me excited.

Try Pathologic 2 it's a very different type of horror game where the fear comes from the pressure of failing or not doing as much as you could against a completely un-killable and unique enemy. And its not a sequel more like a remake so ignore the 2 in the title.

Monster Hunter: Generations Ultimate, it’s the first time I’ve played a MH game and I’m wondering why the ever-loving fuck it took me so long to pick any of the games up, just the right amount of monster slaying and exploration for me!

Too many games.

Modern Warfare (2022)
Katana Zero
Forza Horizon 5
Apex Legends
Fallout: NV with mods

I might just stop playing Forza and Apex for a bit and stick with the first two and New Vegas.

I Recently mentioned to a friend that my favorite DOS game as a teen was Masters of Orion and I probably put 1000's of hours into it. That Son of a Bitch sent me a key for stellaris.

Holy shit, it's like fucking digital heroin for me, 2 games in and I bought all the DLC played a couple hundred hours then started going crazy with the mods.

World of warships which is 50/50 infuriating & rewarding now with submarines.

Boneraiser minions, which is a very fun little roguelite/like/reverse bullet hell/whatever the fuck that's a hard recommend. You basically play as a necromancer & raise minions to do damage for you.

Sprocket tank design, from the depths & Naval Art whenever my vehicle design 'tism is tingling.

Faith 3. Got the "OK" ending, now trying for the proper "Good" ending. The bosses are no fucking joke...

Also the House of Fleshenstien (horde) mode for Night at the Gates of Hell.

I've been playing Balrum. It's a old-school-like, turn-based RPG. It's pretty fun.

There's necromancers in it, so that counts as Halloween-y, right?

I was playing monster hunter rise

But I got the dreaded save state loop bug, thanks denuvo! Hope your shitty company goes bankrupt

Terra Invicta is pretty fun, even if it is very tedious and can get a bit repetitive. It'd be nice to see anyone harm Paradox Interactive's stranglehold on the strategy industry.

Terra Invicta is a funny game for me, because I started out just straight up disliking it. Now, after a couple of restarted runs and a lot of hours, I still complain about stuff in it, like the weapon bloat, or faction AI, or missing stuff like supply/refuel ships. But at the same time, I still find myself playing it and enjoying myself. I actually check every day to see if there's been a patch, it's one of the few games I've been excited about in a long time. I really hope the developers do a great job updating and fixing it, because I could see it turning into a fantastic, complete game in a year or so.
