What are you playing right now?

I downloaded the Flash Game Archive app and I play Dead Zed 2 for a few minutes here and there. I'm not a gamer, but machine gunning the shit out of a zombie hoard for R&R is very soothing.

Vermintide 2. What the fuck happened to co-op games that has everyone zip-zooming around and not actually playing as a team anymore? It makes playing anything above the game's normal difficulty a crapshoot.

Starsector - was originally going to rate this a 10/10 because the base game is great and the mod community has done some really impressive stuff; also the game is really easy to mod in general so a caveman like myself can tweak things and take out all of the anime bullshit modders seem intent on adding for some reason.

However, on my most recent playthrough, the game randomly generated a jungle planet called "Nog" which made me laugh really hard so I am revising my score to an 11/10.

Been playing Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord recently, after not touching it for a year or so. I'm a bit torn on it. On one hand, I do like the core of the game, and it does feel like a good successor to Warband. But on the other hand, it's hard to see where all that early access time went. The game still has enemies get stuck in unreachable terrain, the economy is hilariously unbalanced (going from working to keep one party fed and paid to having literally millions of gold), and there are a bunch of aspects in terms of garrisons/diplomacy/relationships/kingdom management that just feel like they need to be fleshed out. Maybe I'm being too harsh, or maybe mods are the solution, but I don't know. Just a bit disappointing.

Also went back to Crusader Kings 3, and saw that the Elder Kings 2 mod came out, so I tried that a bit. The default character start seems pretty tough in terms of winning the war for the Imperial Isle and finishing the tasks for the Council, or it just might be that I'm very rusty and suck at the game. Might just try a random count somewhere and see what happens. Trying to figure out what other mods will/won't break when trying to work with it, since it's a complete overhaul, is kind of a pain. If I was more into Elder Scrolls lore, I'd probably be a big fan, but I don't know much about the world at large.

Let's Build a Zoo & Two Point Hospital

Let's Build a Zoo gives me those classic Zoo Tycoon vibes

Two Point Hospital gives me my management sim fix while letting me slather it with Sonic tat.

Anyone else playing Multiversus? I actually really like it, I only play 2v2's solo queue because none of my friends play, but I've somehow managed to break into the top 1000 rank despite being constantly paired up with retards. I actually like it more than smash. Usually I avoid f2p cancer but they did it pretty good, only cosmetics are sold and only stupid shit that I wouldn't even use if they were free. I don't care what my banner or profile icon looks like. I've only been playing maybe a month and half and I've unlocked every character without spending a penny.

I just finished Black Mesa, I thought it was perfect. I recently finished Wolfenstein 2 New Colossus, too many dead ends and really confusing without a directional marker, other than that I enjoyed it. . Been playing COD MW Black Ops, thought the story was good but just felt like every other MW game ever made. This is the time of year I have a ton of free time. Anyone feel free to recommend a new FPS to me.

Started to play Sniper Elite 5. I like it so far (outside of the ESG-compliant character designs) but I wish they would allow players to use a vehicle on these big maps.

Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic. It's what a modern remaster of a classic should be: all of the things that made it great without the dated flaws. Now that I can manage my autism in a productive way, I can beat the scenarios that I couldn't when I was 11.

I just found Pokemon Emerald Rogue, a rom hack that turns the original Emerald into a roguelike where each run takes a few hours max and you can unlock permanent upgrades for future runs. It also includes the option to enable a bunch of changes from later games like the physical/special split and new moves.

I thought Flashpoint was the only ongoing Flash preservation project. How does FGA compare?

MADNESS: Project Nexus. It's a beat-em-up based on the venerable Madness Combat flash series. Story mode is alright, but the custom character Arena mode is where it's at. Pick a class, run through some wave-based combat missions, reset into a new game plus(ish) with slightly increased stats and new unlocked classes. Gameplay loop is very fun, and some of the unlockable classes are absurd. Exorcise a haunted house and stop an eldritch cult by shooting the ghosts back to death and smacking the evil right outta those cultists with a baseball bat! Take part in a murderous gameshow and punt clone midgets dressed as christmas elves into pits filled with sawblades! Get wrapped up in a three way melee between the Italian mafia, motorcycle greasers, and vampires in the middle of a nightclub!

It's absurd, it's ultra-violent, and I love it. Probably not to everyone's tastes, but if you liked the Madness Combat series, I'd give it a shot.

Also, finally tried Dragonball Xenoverse 2, after buying it when it was on sale for five dollars like two years ago. Haven't gotten so far yet, but it's pretty fun. Decided to try a balanced character for my first, promptly discarded that when I discovered how broken Dodon Ray is for stunlocking someone into an Ultimate, all for no ki cost.
