What are you playing right now?

Played Steamworld Build via gamepass. Very buggy, very barebones and after 28 hours I've finished 4/5 maps. At least Dyson Sphere Program is about to get an update, so might move back to it instead.

Bitburner.
Its about hacking and you have to actually write scripts to play the game.

Its free and even though its advertised as an idle game, I've had plenty of fun using it as a playground to practice Javascript.

Yesterday I decided to make an attempt to learn how to play Picross, and god help me, I actually enjoy it. i got the Genesis & Master System edition on the Switch, and even though it's confusing at times, I'm geting the hang of it.
Once you've gotten the hang of it, be prepared to lose hours of your life. I've played and 100% every Picross game since the DS releases, even emulated the SNES ones. It's become a bit of a coping mechanism for me--I get home from work and I play some Picross to cool down.

Besides Picross, I've been playing Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. I was addicted to the first installment on the Game Boy (Dragon Warrior Monsters) as a kid and it's bringing back cozy vibes. It's a super basic level-grinding and monster catching/breeding formula without much depth (there's a Dragon Quest backstory involved but whatever) but it's fun to see this in 3D.

Played Rogue Trader for the past three hours and planning on playing many more. After being completly priced out of the tabletop hobby by FUCKING GAMESTOP Games Workshop this is the first time in ages i have fun with a 40k product. Big respect to Owlcat Games, the attention to detail and general lore conformity is a honest but welcome surprise. Mechanics are good and crunchy, writing and characters are good, combat is fun. I wish these motherfuckers were in charge of VtM:B 2.

Started playing Fallout 3 for the first time ever. I played FO1/2 back in the day, FO Tactics, and New Vegas. I'm really enjoying it, more than New Vegas tbh so far
NV has so many mods, but the FO3 seems far more interesting, and probably more developed in its storyline than F04.

For me, I've Total War: Pharaoh minimised. It's basically a full scale mod and update (and move of setting a bit to the east, so Egypt, the Levant and Anatolia) of Troy, which had poor enough battles but was excellent on the strategic level, I think so. A torrent of Youtube influencers have slated Pharaoh, which further makes me think the game has merit. The big downside was the wildness of the price, $50-60, tho on various platforms it's available for the score that it's worth. I actually like these TW games with a local setting, they called it Saga or something. Thrones of Britannia was excellent for example, and still has mods made for it.

Quasimorph as the my lord and savior Hey Hey People recommended.
I have slaughtered scores of corporate wageslaves, hive-minded communists, and several varieties of super interplanetary extradimensional Mexicans in what I can only describe as Berserk's Eclipse if it were a gameplay mechanic.
The full game can't come out soon enough: I got the Dataminer item chip, all the conventional ammo ones, some of the best weapon chips, all the class and mind chips out right now, and I need more variety as well as viability for my anarchocapitalist Guts-If-He-Were-A-PMC company.

Been trying to beat Silo in GoldenEye on 00 Agent. Shit is difficult. I'm hit with a tidal waves of enemies (some who open fire the instant you open a door) and rarely make to the satellite room with more than a sliver of health and when I do Ourumov is there to end my shit as soon as I open the door.

I’m desperately trying to get through the rest of the SSI D&D games, but deathkeep is so terrible and buggy.

Finishing up Persona 4 golden. Filling the compendium for 100% is a bitch though. Going to have to NG+ to get the skill card achievement as well.

I used to play Diablo 2 on PC back in the day. I somewhat recently picked up the remastered version on console.

It’s pointless in the long run, since progression just means replaying the game on higher difficulties, but it’s kind of nice to play a hack n slash without giant numbers blocking out my view of everything.

Went back to remnant 2, forgot how fun it was

I enjoy Remnant 2, it's just a shame it runs like dogshit on PC. The game is following the trend of poor optimization with AI upscaling to accommodate for half-assed coding. Too many modern developers rely on current technology being able to brute force a game without attempting to shave off needless excess to squeeze out performance. It's deja vu of the days people were cooking their hardware trying to benchmark on Crytek.

What's the point of attempting 4k visuals when it's actually only running at a fraction of the resolution and being upscaled? Nobody needs static map debris with polygon counts in the thousands. If your game can't maintain 60 FPS in 4k on a gaming machine that costs more than a mortgage payment, you've fucked up.
