What are you playing right now?

Anyone get Xenoblade Chronicles X yet? Planning on getting my copy today.

I'm playing that game where I stew in my anger despite it being near Christmas, because I'm an autistic freak and hate the world right now.

EYE Divine Cybermancy. I'm actually going to try and find the barkeep rather than uninstall to clear up for some HD space.

Playing XCOM:EW with this mod (still too pussy and/or not having enough time to do a proper Long War mod), and will probably get triggered by Thin Men. Or Chryssalids.

Playing FFXIV with my old friend that moved across the country. If any of you play on the behemoth server let's get together.

Rainbow Six Siege. I'd forgotten how fun these games are, it's the perfect mix of tactics and shooty-shoots.

Playing Star Wars KOTOR via the PC.

Honestly, I'm not entirely impressed so far. The story and characters are somewhat interesting, but they don't seem to make up for the several little annoyances I've encountered with the game so far. i.e., The game sometimes not loading properly whenever I reload a save, the graphical bugs (which thankfully are easily fixed), the combat feeling kinda clunky, the blatant re-usage of character models, (I think I've seen the same green male twi-lek with the same voice at least ten times by now. And I only just got to Dantooine.)

And according to a conversation I had via Steam, apparently ranged combat is pretty much completely outclassed by melee. I don't know about you, but in a game where you're given a lot of options as to how you want your character to develop and fight, you would think the different fighting styles would be better balanced than that. This kind of thing seems to happen in so many games of this type and it just bugs me to no end.

I really want to like this game, as it does have quite a few good things going for it, (I liked the fight choreography when two melee characters are fighting) but I'm just not really feeling it with this one.

For some insane reason, so have I started to play Sengoku Rance. This game..... is pretty damn funny and the "Hero" Rance has as an objective to fuck all the chicks that he can find. The gameplay is really solid and it is also a pretty hard game. But it is the writting that make me want to play it. It is very solid writing and funny.
To sum up, everything you need to know about Rance is this:

Unlike lightsabers, blasters are generally more limited in terms of modification. Also STR which modifies how often you hit with a melee weapon also adds to the melee damage. KOTOR 2 has a better variety in combat styles, but it's better to get the restored content mod.

KOTOR 2 become a much better game with the restoring mod. When I first played it with that mod, it was like a whole new game. So damn good.

I'm currently playing Pathologic.

It's a psychological horror game that was originally Russian, but recently they released a classic HD version that has been translated to English. The game takes place in a very, very strange town, each play through lasting for twelve days, that is if you can last that long as you have to survive on very scarce resources and not get killed by strange critters. You can play as either three characters, the Bachelor, Haruspex, or Devotress/Changling, to discover the secrets of the town that is undergoing a strange lethal sickness known as the "sand plague".

There is so much more to this game, that I can ramble about it on and on, but I'll spare you. It's available on Steam if you'd like to check it out!

Pathologic is so much fun but it's super confusing when you first start out. I got most of the way through day 1 then my hard drive died (:_(

One note for anyone interested in picking it up, the GOG version of Pathologic comes with both the HD version with the new translation as well as the original version from years ago with the really weird translation, just in case you want to experience it in all it's mindfucky glory.

I'm playing Xenoblade X at the moment, it's excellent. I've sunk about 45 hours into it in the past 2 days (not quite sure how) and I've barely scratched the surface. Absolutely huge game. I still haven't unlocked mechs even.

Also sitting on Xeno X right now. Only got six hours at the moment, and holy shit is there a lot of things to keep in mind. No wonder it's taking a while to unlock the mechs - you're busy enough managing everyone's equipment, skills, passives and relationships as is, and that's not even getting into exploring the planet itself.

A new version of Dwarf Fortress was released so while I've not played in a while I thought I might have a look at the new features.

A bit over a year into the new fortress an army of undead showed up and I decided to just close the gates and wait them out. But then I accidentally made a new tunnel to the surface while mining for coal. Now I'm biting my nails and reading a blow-by-blow description of the desperate fight going on in the mining tunnels to hold the zombie elves back long enough to build new doors.

This game is so much fun...
