What are you playing right now?

Went back and finished another mission in Ground Zeroes. Tried the helicopter extraction mission but I keep dying when the armored vehicle comes out. I almost beat it once but my extractee got shot in the head right before I could throw his limp ass on the helicopter.

Is it just me or does this MGS seem harder than its predecessors? And it's much darker, too . . .

Bomb gut scene

I like it, but it's still not quite what I expected.

Decided to try my hand at the series that the Persona series originated from. Shin Megami Tensei. Specifically Nocturne, as I heard that's one of the best in the series.

I'm relatively new to the MegaTen series, with P4G being my entry into it.

I was told that Devil Survivor was the most similar to the Persona games in terms of writing, so I'll have to check that game out someday.
The PS2 release of P4 was my start. A weeaboish friend of mine kept going on and on about some game called Persona 3. Now, he had Breath of Fire 3 and BoF is one of my favorite RPG franchises. When I saw Persona 4 in store, I bought it with the intent to trade him for BoF3.

Then I started playing it, since we met up about once a month. My god did Yukiko's dungeon give me a hard time but man did I enjoy it. Ended up keeping the game and ended up getting P3 FES from him. Turns out for all the talk, he didn't play too much. Didn't beat P3 FES, but bought P3P and cleared it on the female route.

Paid $60 for Nocturne last summer. Spent years looking for that game and the pawn shop had it (the owner looks up the value of games before giving them a price). Played a little and it's addicting, but work was demanding and I put it down. Thinking of restarting from scratch after I'm done/get bored of Skyrim.

They did a "New" Yoshi's Island?

Wow, they sure love trying to lure back in us nostalgia fans.

Still on RDR, but I've made it to the last region.

Went back to playing Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing just to see how fast I can reverse. :ween:
Did you reverse fast enough become "You're Winner"?

I bought a 2DS and Pokemon Y last week. I've been playing through it when I have free time. I finally tried out some of the online features earlier tonight, which are an enormous improvement.

Mother 3. I just finished Mother 2 a few weeks ago. This is probably my favorite RPG series now, very few games actually get me to laugh out loud, but these games are really clever.

Played some Plague Inc. Evolved. Basically an improved version of Plague Inc., but it's in early access at the moment.

Also, love the improved music. AUGH YEAH

Harvest Moon 3D: Tale of Two Towns. I've loved the HM series since SNES, though I still have some mixed feelings with this one. That might just be because I just started the first Summer and I don't have a whole lot to do to take up the day yet, which seems to go by slower than in previous games.

I also got Super Mario Land 2 on Virtual Console a few days ago. Of course I can get through most of the levels pretty easily now (except the Space World boss...), but I remember how long the game felt back in the day where I was playing my old copy on the red brick Game Boy I still have. I may have also gotten it mostly for the music...

The Dark Souls never ends.
Solaire apparently went hollow on me. So I killed the fucker and took his humanity.

Wearing Giant's Set with Grass Crest Shield and Zweihander +15 makes me feel uncomfortably legendary, and the frequency at which I use the "Well! What is it!" gesture has increased drastically as of late, inversely proportional to my ability to give a fuck about other friendly undead guys.

To avoid becoming a giantdad...
...I tried picking up pyromancy, but at this point in the game each soul level costs 30k+ souls and I only have two attunement slots, so I gave up after leveling the flame to +9 and murdering Laurentius in Blighttown. I went back to leveling strength, vitality and endurance.

Back in Havel's Set, with Zweihander +15 in my right hand and Eagle Shield in my left one, I went into Lost Izalith and destroyed the Bed of Chaos in about 8 tries: one each for the glowy orbs on the sides, and six to get to the core without being pushed into the bottomless pit. I don't really get why some choose to call that boss the Bed of Dicks. I thought that name implied very high difficulty, but it's just a stupid puzzle boss, and its attacks are really easy to avoid, even the firestorm one.

I then went and steamrolled the Duke's Archives, killing Seath on my first try. I still don't even know what his attacks actually are. I sort of whacked him at point blank until he died. I saw like 10 or more cursed player statues in the boss area, so I wore Painting Guardian's Set with Xanthous Crown and 6 humanity for high magic and curse resistances, and then just went in and tanked all the attacks. Sadly, I failed to cut off his tail.

Now that my strength is at about 34 or so, I hear it might be worth my while to upgrade that Demon's Greataxe to +15 because of how well it scales with strength. BUT!... And here is where a small rant begins.

I do know that you get a titanite slab by finishing Siegmeyer's story. However, it makes no sense to me that when you encounter him in Lost Izalith, he's in the room with four non-respawning blender demons that you have to kill with him when he finally gets there. I cleared that room long before he moved there because I had missed his appearance in Blighttown.

The first blender demon you encounter in the game is a respawning one, which makes you think "oh okay, these goofy-looking monsters come back when you rest at a bonfire". You can't really skip it either, because it's in the way on the only path to the Bed of Chaos. So then you go to the optional area before the boss door, fall through the crumbling floor and merrily slaughter the non-respawning demons without any clue that they are important for a certain storyline. With the monsters gone, I am unable to finish the story and receive the slab to upgrade my axe to +15. Oh well, +14 is fine too.

Beat Stick of Truth, started Bioshock Infinite.

Metal Gear Solid 5.

Well, for 10 minutes, anyways.

I'm jumping between Pokemon X( which I'm close to beating) and Pokemon Emerald (which I'm also close to beating!) I'm doing a solo run in Emerald with my Swampert and have gone through the story pretty fast. I want to try a masterball cloning glitch my friend told me about.

The Diablo 3 expansion is quite amazing. The game did a 180 turn around with the removal of the auction house and the overhaul of the loot system. Before you were lucky to get one legendary item on you way from 1 to 60, now I get 5 to 6 a day. The only downside is that the the legendaries you get are account bound, as someone who doesn't like to trade, that is fine with me. If you have Diablo 3 I recomend you check it out.

Minecraft and South Park the Stick of Truth

Just picked up Startopia off Steam since it was on sale. Fun little space-themed tycoon game to fritter away the time. And I do enjoy the British-style humor.

Also played some more AoE II HD today.

Downloaded Minecraft for my PC. Playing on creative mode. Building a large castle as a monument to my ego.

For the last few days, I've been playing Skyrim, killing off Volkihar vampires, building my mansion in Falkreath, and journeying around Solstheim. It has been a fun journey but I think I'll uninstall the game and give a rest. Maybe I'll go back to some San Andreas.
