What are you playing right now?

I'm playing Valkiria Chronicles on PC. Good game, feels like a intense game of Chess with a WW2 theme, with tanks and shit.

Starcom: Unknown Space. Feels like I'm close to the end. It's a fun spave exploration game where you get stranded in another universe, and you have to use what you find to build up your ship.

What I appreciate very much is the minimal handholding with the story. You have to explore to advance the plot, and the game is good at just gently nudging you on where to go. It is occasionally merciful and marks the occasional important bit way the fuck out in space, but otherwise you're expected to use the in-game logs and notes system to keep track of things. My one complaint is that the dialog for your crew can be a bit Reddit, but that's only happened a couple times; they're good at straddling the line between "professional" and "fun and quirky". I'm glad I got it on a whim.

I'm debating on getting Grim Dawn. Can anyone send some feedback on if it's worth it and if it is, which version on Steam to grab? Also anything else similar. I don't want to go back to Diablo 4.

I just got done playing Tiny Tina's Wonderland and that new-ish TMNT game. Really enjoyed them both. TMNT didn't have much in terms of continued play, but it's cheap and fun if you wanna just do something quick.

Back to the Dead Space Remake, I'm planning on finishing it this week-end. I still prefer the original. This one feels like it forces you to play the shitty weapons because you are too good with the plasma cutter.

It's a lot slower than something like PoE (never played Diablo 4, so can't compare). The class system lets you combine two base classes, so there's plenty of variety. Some items can also change your build a lot, with stuff like damage conversions, skill modifiers or unique bound skills, overall trying different builds was most of the fun I had with the game, never got into endgame grinding. It also has a ton of lore notes to read through if you're into that. For DLCs, I'd say get Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods, since they each add a class and plenty of content. Crucible is just an arena mode and can be skipped, though I think getting the definitive bundle is still cheaper than base game + AoM + FG, so might as well.

If Grim Dawn doesn't seem like your thing, you might wanna check out Last Epoch, haven't played it much myself yet, but it sure is faster and looks better.

Just beat RE8 last night, I had beat 7 last month. I have owned these games for years and finally got the time to play and best them. 7 is an amazing horror game and 8 is a great action horror, corny as hell but was just a fun experience.

Thank you so much. This is exactly whaT I was looking for. I think im gonna try Last Epoch before Grim Dawn at this point. I really appreciate the help.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead. Ok so far, buggy at times. I somehow triggered the alert state for an enemy in this one warehouse but he got stuck in place. Then when I tried to leave, the game triggered the death cutscene and gave me a game over even though I was nowhere near the alien and in a transition to the next area. Stormind's made a couple of spiritual successors to the Clocktower series with the Remothered games, but I haven't really heard anything good about them.

Playing Witcher 3 again because it is one the greatest games ever made and I haven't played since they did the new graphics update a year or two ago.

ALSO, FOR THOSE THAT DO NOT KNOW BC I DIDN'T, Red Dead 1 is coming to PC this week and I hope they don't fuck it up like them GTA remasters.

Played Janosik 1, Janosik 2 Demo, and Janosik 2 Prologue. It's a platformer with metroidvania elements, made by 1 Slovak guy, that's not souls-like and doesn't involve cutting off your dick.

Three free items so far:
Janosik 1, the original -- 7 levels, 4 hours (I'm stuck near the end because I suck, there are no youtube videos of the latest version).
Janosik 2 prologue -- a complete standalone game, took me 4 hours to 100% and 2 the second time.
Janosik 2 demo -- two levels of the second game, took about an hour to thoroughly search (unsure if 100% but looks like it).

It's easier to build your character in Last Epoch than Grim Dawn.
It's been really fun. Their acolyte class has so much in it so far. I really enjoy the different skill trees for abilities you unlock as you go. I went Acolyte-Warlock and it just melts everything in it's path.

I still say you show try Grim Dawn. It's character builds aren't as autistic as Path of Exile and the gameplay is slower.

Not actually playing but I've been deep diving into the lore of the Forever Winter.
It's an extraction shooter where you play as a Tarkov-esque murder hobo scavenger in the ashes of an apocalyptic war that destroyed earth 40 years before the game takes place. And the war is still going on. There's 3 superstate factions with their own aesthetics and I'm all for it. Europa is pretty much 90's near future anime with mechas. Eurasia is Cyberpunk 2077. And Euruska is Russia meets the Combine from Half Life 2 with all their biomechanical horrors.

The Order 1886. Yes, mostly a walking simulator but there is gunplay where I got to put my shit aim into practice until the blacksight ability got unlocked.

Seems solid otherwise, lovely aesthetics with the alternate 1800s London and I'm almost shocked that there's only homogenous people walking the streets. I'm still early on in the game though so that might change.

Back to playing GTNH, because apparently I'm some sort of masochist...
