What are you playing right now?

Skyrim: Special Edition.

I played through Skyrim when it was fairly new and never touched it again. Decided to get it again with all the DLC to have something laid back to play while I wait for Switch to release. Since I'm a degenerate I have a lot of time to waste on this game so I wouldn't be surprised if I finished it again before I get Switch and Zelda.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex First Assault. It's a bretty fun FPS set in the GitS:SAC universe (yuuuge Ghost in the Shell sperg reporting). Been playing it since it was still in Early Access, stopped for a while, then picked it back up recently. For a F2P shooter, it's surprisingly not pay to win; the only thing that's worth actual money are the skins and alternate costumes.

Only gripe is that the optimization is pretty shite, and there's some shit that really needs fixing. Other than that, it's solid and worth a try.
Balancing is also an issue; people have been complaining about the F2020 ever since it was released months ago. I find myself giving First Assault another try every time a new patch comes out and everything seems like roses for the first couple of days, only for the annoyances to eventually reappear and interest to wane. The ever-shrinking playerbase is not helping much, sadly. It's got great potential...but it needs net/server fixes, co-op and balancing yesterday.

For some reason, I've started up a new save file for Ōkami. Just had an urge to run around and create cherry bombs on everyone and everything. Playing through the PS2 version on my desktop since for whatever reason, my PS2 Slim is refusing to acknowledge that the CD tray is indeed closed.

I'm with you on this. The F2020 needs to be nerfed HARD, moreso than the Seburo weapons. That thing is piss easy to get kills with, and manages to be about as accurate as the sniper rifles.

The netcode needs a complete rework, imo. I'll have around a 15-20ms ping, but as soon as it hits 2 AM and the 120+ ping fiends show up, the gane becones almost unplayable at times. Neople needs to fix these major issues, yet they keep on releasing skins and new guns instead of focusing on the things that matter.

I'm of the opinion that all of the weapon classes need rebalancing as pistols are almost completely useless and ARs outperform snipers in every mode except Demolition. But yes, the F2020 is by far the worst offender, as it made almost the entire community stop complaining about the Seburo C30.

Due to the nature of how FPS games work online, it's impossible to get perfection but First Assault has always had the issue of getting shot by players that from your perspective are 100% impossible for them to have line of sight. And when someone with higher ping joins the game, the server literally shits itself. Just for science, I jumped on the South American server (which is red for me). From my point of view, every other player was lagging back and forth and teleporting all over the place, making it very difficult to tell where they actually were. I just ended up spraying in the general location between the lagging endpoints, and I ended up killing enemies far more often than they got me. I can only imagine how I appeared on their end.

What's left of the community is slowly growing increasingly bitter with accusations of cheating becoming more and more common. Some of it boils down to people are stupid and don't have basic game sense (I can hear your stupid ass running towards me or you just gunned down my teammate, so you showed up on my minimap and I'm going to prefire your face), but the instakills resulting from latency and poor network is just pissing off everyone. I really do hope the game sticks around long enough have fully implemented co-op since it's Stand Alone Complex (imagine everything they could do with that), but I fear the game will slowly become a cash grab before the playerbase simply disappears forever. Any fix for the latency issues has been temporary at best; a small patch before the bleeding resumes.

Since yesterday, I got back into SWAT 4. Since my skills went down to DSP tier, I need to try harder in taking down suspects, especially if I wanted to do it non-lethal.

There's surprisingly more than 5 people who still play Halo 2 Vista online, I was just in two different servers.

Total Warhammer again because the Brettonian FreeLC just came out. I'm currently sending my Chivalrous Knights on a crusade against the vile elves, because elves are basically infidels if you think about it, and the Orcs are too scary to fight.

LEGO Dimensions again, still think it's the only good "Toys 2 Life" game, really. Everything has value and the content is mostly great. Though certain characters are a bit of a bum deal if you already own another character from the franchise. Not a lot of them, mind, but Bart is a big one. Only 2 abilities to Homer's 5, plus it only opens up the adventure world. Homer does that, and gives you a full on level.

Though most are fine. Take Slimer and Peter Venkman. Slimer doesn't come with a level but has so many powers he's worth owning, and Venkman has only a handful, but has a unique one (Catching ghosts, I guess the lady Ghostbuster has that too but I'm not going to fucking remember that movie in a year's time) and a level, so both are worth owning if you need access to GB content (The adventure world both would open, or the level with Venkman) or the many useful, but generic, abilities Slimer has. (Flight, hazard removal, hazard protection, small entrances, batarang targets using a hotdog, etc).

Edit; Adventure Worlds are a really neat idea. Little open worlds based on a franchise with a bunch of quests to do and collectibles to find. Reminds me almost of Banjo-Kazooie but with LEGO mechanics.

I'm replaying Rayman 2 for old time's sake. I never beaten the final boss. It's been like 17 years, I should finish this.

Solstice. Beautiful art, intriguing story, complex characters. Still trying to get an ending where everyone's relatively unscathed.

Playing Vermintide while I desperately wait for Ghost Recon Wildlands to unlock.

Same (For Wil'n Out Lands), liked the beta, got it on PS4 just because 2 of my friends are getting it on there. I'll probably also get it on PC if it's any good on the platform. GTA meets Far Cry is extremely my wheelhouse

Been playing some MS Flight Sim lately just to fool around in the glass 172 and the Diamond Katana

Buddies of mine started playing FF XIV, so I followed them and bought it after playing the trial for a bit.
