What are you playing right now?

I've been playing a lot of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive recently. I like playing the wargames in Operation Hydra with my favorite being "Trigger Discipline"(You take damage everytime you miss a shot until your health goes down to 1). Most of the fun comes from baiting people to shoot at you to lower their health and then lobbing a grenade at them.

Been playing Modern Warfare 2 on a crappy laptop just to see if it was as fun as it was years back while also seeing if the laptop can run it.

Got Stellaris, really enjoying it now that I've got a few playthroughs under my belt. Currently playing as a NATO-themed Militarist/Egalitarian empire, planning on building an alliance of subservient vassals, with the goal in mind to take out all of the Fallen Empires.

Recently sat down and forced myself to complete a XCOM 2 campaign, after 700+ hours in-game, along with 915 hours in the game's SDK. Currently at the transition period of mid-game and end-game

When it comes to me going on Steam, mostly Nier Automata. Gotta at least enjoy the feels to it with a side of fanservice.

Well, I found a copy of Pokemon SoulSilver at a yard sale this morning. I just had to have it since Silver was my first experience owning a Pokemon game. It was a Christmas gift I got with a GBC beck when it came out, and I logged a couple hundred hours on it before I stopped playing (kid was handing out hacked Celibi's on the school yard, which ended up resetting the flag for trading and I was unable to activate it again. I only had 6 more Pokemon to complete my Pokedex and I was so discouraged I stopped playing completely.

So, I got SS this morning and selected my starter, Flamey the Cyndaquil (my starter years ago). Grinded it to level 11 before my first Trainer battle, caught a couple of beginner Pokemon, went to save before training them and couldn't. Didn't delete the old save first.

I'm a dumbass and Flamey died (okay, being dramatic here) because of it.

Delicious 15: Emily's Miracle of Life (which is rather touching). As soon as I download it, I'll be playing the new Risky Boots mode for Shantae: 1/2 Genie Hero.

Currently playing Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. I think I'm nearing the end, and so far I like it.

The game is GORGEOUS, the usage of perspective in puzzles meshes pretty well with the whole psychosis aspect of the game. Combat is kinda eh, even at the highest difficulty enemies aren't too nasty to deal with so long as you don't get surrounded and you back off to let your health regenerate.

Can't help but feel that's kind of a missed opportunity considering the emphasis on how more of the darkness creeps up on Senua's arm each time you die. But combat doesn't seem like the emphasis of this game anyway, so I can let that slide.

I will say the facial animations and the way Senua behaves and reacts to things seem so real it's scary. I can totally believe that this woman is tortured and has seen and heard things no one else should ever experience just by watching her.

In between dugeon runs of Elderscroll's newest dungeons.. I picked up MiiTopia after watching Vinny play it.. It's an enjoyable game to play while you're doing other things. The humor's ok, passable. I think the main appeal is just the characters whom get set and the party members you assign. I most just play it while watching YouTube or talking with people as it doesn't require much thought to play.
