What are you playing right now?

American Truck Simulator, it's kind of a guilty pleasure but otoh it's also the nearest I will ever come to a W900.

Started No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Back. Definitely a step back. Still lots of ridiculousness, but it's all done through text now. They axed the voice acting for some reason. Really kills the humour of hearing people say this wonky shit.

This cutesy little Super Famicom game called Do-Re-Mi Fantasy, The sequel to Milon's secret castle (but don't let that deter you, this is way more awesome!) it got:

* Good platforming
* Awesome sampled music (Perhaps one of the more impressive OST's IMO
* Weird but funny bosses

What more can you ask fore? Here is a let's play of said game so you can see/hear for yourself.

I beat Fox's Peter Pan and The Pirates for the NES.

Platforming is bullshit, mostly because it's hard as hell to tell what's a background object and what's in the foreground.

At the end you get an YOU WIN screen with portrait art that's it, TMNT 1 had a more elaborate ending than this game.

I've cleared through most of my NES collection, outside of a few of those unofficial cart games like Bible Adventures.

FIFA 20 (Yeah, I know), Saint's Row The Third: The Full Package and OG Dragon Quest

South Park: The Stick of Truth, PS4 version. I finished it a few times on Steam before, eventually unlocking every Achievement.

It's been a while, so I'm marveling at the amount of stuff there is to do right out of the gate. That said, I've noticed some problems compared to the PC version, namely an occasional drag in framerate, a pause between entering sections of the map, and awkwardness selecting battle commands with the analog stick. The mouse was overall a much better controller than the gamepad.

I'm really hoping they do a third one of these. I'm thinking Sci-fi. This series deserves to be a trilogy.

Working on the postgame stuff in Octopath Traveler. Loved the game, but approaching 80 hours and I'm pretty ready for it to be finished at this point.

Thief Gold. For one of the first real stealth games, it's generally pretty solid and most of the levels I've played so far are pretty good. However, some levels end up being a boring drag for one reason or another. Especially If they have a lot of zombies or other nonhuman enemies around.

Dividing my time between One Piece: World Seeker and Smash; people say it’s shit but i love it. Wish it had more to do after clearing the main story but if they decide a sequel is worth it then they could definitely build on it. There’s DLC through Winter 2019 so its enough to hold me over for bow

Been playing A Robot Named Fight lately. It's pretty much the super metroid randomizer but better.

It recently had a big update for it's upcoming Switch release too.

Blair Witch, which was ok. On the plus side, I really like the general atmosphere the forest creates, and the dog mechanic was quite neat. Downside was just how easy it was to get lost - the game will loop until you find the right place - which fits the "going round in circles" theme from the movie, but in practice can be annoying. The final level kindof spoilt it as well, being a nice change of pace at first but just drags on and on until it becomes a chore.

Bahamut Lagoon. Really enjoying it so far. Wish it would have gotten a release here when it was new.

Romancing Saga 3.12

Do you want to have every fucking character from the SaGa series available for you to recruit? Do you want to sleep in an inn and have Asellus' final boss wake you up to murder you?

Warning: Japanese only

Batman: Arkham Knight

I spent a lot of time playing Arkham Origins over the weekend while visiting family and it put me in the mood for more Arkham Batman when I got home. I also never finished Knight. I’m sad to say it’s objectively the worst game in the series. Not even getting into how fucking annoying the combat is (electrified goons, big goons who now carry knives and shields and shit) it feels more sluggish in the combat than the previous 3 games and the graphics seem really grainy (I’m playing the PS4 version). The only improvement is the stealth sections.

The original RAGE. Went into it just out of curiosity since it seems that it was a divisive game with tech that at the time was not well implemented and according to some critics it was called mediocre. Also was fascinated by John Carmack's interview in Joe Rogan's podcast talking about how the game was developed for 6 years and how much things changed around the gaming landscape during that long development time. I'm about 5 hours in and so far I'm loving it. The shooting mechanics and animation are fantastic and I particularly like the inclusion of item crafting and driving/racing into it.

I did some tweaking to the command line argument that increases the texture buffer to avoid the texture pop-in the game engine was known for plus increase the FOV ( PCGamingWiki is a godsend ).

The game's own benchmark tool is garbage though, don't pay attention to it.

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus (Steam version). So far, fun and jiggly. I got my ass pounded until I finished the training tutorials. It turns out I really did need learning on what buttons transform/perform Special Ninja attacks/tear off clothes. This game requires full gamepad familiarity to succeed.

By the breeze on my enemy's boobs, I WILL get the ingredients for grandpa's recipe.

Alright gimmie advice kiwis: i couldn't get into DMV 5. I have ps4 pro that is collecting dust, any single play game recommendations?

I got a out half way through Divinity and gave up. Sekiro, was another game I lost interest in. Last games I beat were Spiderman and God of War.

Nothing seems to grab my attention nowasays, I'm looking forwars to Doom eternal, and Cyberpunk. I may pick up Jedi Order, if it gets decent reviews....

Any ideas?
