What are you playing right now?

Replayed Fallout New Vegas with a whole bunch of mods. Mostly cut content related stuff and gameplay mods that bring the game as close to how it was in the original games as possible without some of the more annoying aspects. Also downloaded the Brave New World mod that gives unique voices and changed faces to most of the minor NPC’s. General Oliver in particular no longer sounds like a generic male and sounds and looks like an actual general now!

The fact that so many people spent time making all these mods that improve the gameplay, presentation and general experience of an otherwise unpolished and buggy game really is a testament to its fantastic world, characters and general writing.

Detroit: Become Human.

This game isn't really doing a good job of convincing me that I'm supposed to give a shit about the androids.

Jedi Fallen Order. Really hope it improves once you get some more powers because so far it's very mediocre and I feel like a complete weakling who can get killed by a single scout trooper in 2-3 hits. Cere's bug eyes must also be the scariest things ever put into a Star Wars game.

Soul Nomad and the World Eaters.

Takes a while for it to pick up, but I'm really enjoying it so far. Think Disgaea but you control squads rather than individual characters. (Made by the same company as well)

It's a bit on the low budget end of things in terms of presentation, but the gameplay and the quirky writing more than make up for it.

Disgaea 4. Still find Valvatorez's sardine obsession amusing. What other game teaches you how sardine is said in Russian right after a lecture about the kanji for sardine? Seriously, that happens in this.

Been bouncing between Yakuza 7 and Yakuza 0. Yakuza 7 is just MADAO Dragon Quest and it's what I've been looking for in a modern game for a long time. I'm gonna have a good time with this one. I've also made 700m in Yakuza 0 just from the whore cockfighting minigame alone.

Just got through Serious Sam First Encounter and got to say I was expecting better given the cult following the game has. In the end it was just an exercise in frustration.

A game like Blood kicking my ass I can deal with because you feel like its you fucking up and you need to get better but Serious Sam feels like it gets its challenge through bullshit - annoying enemies, awful unfair spawn locations and general tedious enemy spam. The first three hours or so are OK but after that its all downhill. With a bit more polish and balance tweaking it could have been a lot better but as it is I'm pretty disappointed, even if it is a budget game. Have no real motivation to check out any of the other entries in the series.

My favorite Disgaea joke of all time is how in the original (plot spoiler) you get those elaborate, stupid 'in the next chapter' joke intermissions between chapters that are completely over the top even by Disgaea standards.. and then 3 or 4 chapters in they slip one in with Captain Gordon and Thusday that's dead-on accurate to what actually happens eight or nine chapters ahead.

Anyways. Slay the Spire Ascension 20 silent. I did it and now I'm never touching the game again. Fuck that was a nightmare to get through.

I've been playing Immortals Fenyx Rising on my Nintendo Switch the past couple of weeks. I picked it up on a whim. It's not bad actually. Put in 40 hours so far working towards completing everything I possibly can on my first playthrough and I'm just now hitting my fourth god's land.

Got distracted from Disgaea 4 thanks to Cataclysm. Figured out how to push shopping carts. That shopping cart is now a car for hoarding all the junk I find. My guy has pretty much spent his summer building the thing.

Currently attempting a no kills/alerts run of Metal Gear Solid 4 on the hardest difficulty, and holy shit it is fucking hard lol.

I've been fucking around with this f2p casino MMO on the Switch called Four Kings or something. I think it's on Steam too.

The game is fascinating. First off it runs like absolute shit which is incredible considering how shitty it looks. I'm not even shitting you it looks like an N64 game and still dips down to single digit frames on a regular basis and there are legitimate minute and a half load times between areas of the casino. It's so bad that it's honestly impressive.

The community is something else too. I'm almost positive there is only one server and I've never seen more than 20 people on at a time and I'm pretty sure that the majority of them are over 55. There are two people who are playing in the bingo hall everytime I've logged on. Like I'm pretty sure they are there all day every day. They have these boring public conversations in local chat and go apeshit for each other when either one gets a bingo. They've also had to have spent $50+ on cosmetics for their characters.

The business model is horrendous too. You only get like $1,000 in free chips per day but the cheapest buy-in for any of the table games or machines is $200. So you can play five hands of video poker, go broke, and have to spend real money on more chips. I lost all my money in about two minutes flat and unlocked an achievement called "Lost My Shirt" and a burlap sack outfit for my character. I then bought $10 worth of chips from the cash shop because how could I not?

10/10 highly recommend.

You spend 90% of the game beating up space creatures with a RBG baseball bat.
Respawn shouldn't have used SW as a base for their Souls-like game.

Doom 2016. i like it since its simple. you awake, there demons to kill, rip and tear. slaughtering demons in mass is fun, bloody and since im playing on higher difficulty, one or two mistakes is enough to kill me so it keeps me on my toes.

i heard mix things about eternal but i be playing that next. hope its just as good or better.
