What are you playing right now?

I'm still plunking away at Arkham Knight. Honestly, this is the most fun I've had with an Arkham game since Arkham Asylum.

Halo Combat Evolved and 3D Fantasy Zone.

For those who don't know, Fantasy Zone is an arcade game released by Sega in 1986 that looks like Defender on LSD. Sega re-released a bunch of their old games for the 3DS, with 3D effect and new features (most of which are cheat codes/cabinet switches turned into features or game settings). 3D Fantasy Zone is subtitled "Opa-Opa Bros." which refers to an unlockable mode where you play as Opa-Opa's brother. One feature I particularly like is how you can stash all the coins you get to either unlock things or use it to start with more money ingame.

Still plugging away at Binding of Isaac, with some Wolfenstein: The Old Blood on the side.

Still haven't beaten Mom's Heart. (:_(

I forgot to mention that I decided to check out Super Mario 3D Land, which brings back memories of Super Mario 64 with some of Super Mario World and SMB3 mixed in, and it just works pretty well as a 3D platformer on a handheld.

I bought Ratchet Deadlocked's HD port.

I'm surprised how I like it much more now than I did at release. The very enjoyable arena-style combat and polished as hell gameplay is still really great.

I finally found some functional GameRanger rooms for Halo Combat Evolved; I got to play Rockets on Hang 'em High, Oddball on Prisoner, Team Slayer on Sidewinder, and pwn some noobs with noscope Sniper Rifle and tactical street racing.

Played Witcher 2 with Polish voice-overs and English subtitles. Been doing some sidequest in Flotsam and I had fun with the minigames there (dice poker, QTE fist fights that isn't "Mash the A key", and arm-wrestling).

Yesterday I was really sick with the stomach flu. I don't know if it was actually stomach flu, but it involved a lot of shitting and throwing up so I'm just going to call it that.

Point is I did what I usually do when I'm too sick to leave my bed: play Pokemon. I didn't feel like going through the trouble of starting a new game on my DS (mostly cuz I couldn't remember how to delete old files and didn't feel like looking it up) so I threw some fresh batteries in my Game Boy Color and booted up Pokemon Blue. I'm feeling much better today, but I'm still playing it. It's been years since I picked up a Pokemon game. I'm currently at the Rocket Hideout under the Game Center. My team is Gyrados, Vulpix, Pidgeotto, Ivysaur, Nidoking, and Sandslash. I'm having a badass time.

I'm currently playing Upa-Upa mode in 3D Fantasy Zone. It's pretty cool that you can select your weapons with the touch screen, but just using them eats your money which forces you to make completely different strategies and overall makes it a bit more grueling unless you pump as much ingame money as you can into it.

Edit: I started Upa-Upa off with the maximum amount of cash the game would allow the player to start with, which is $999000, and achieved a high score of 178,400 at round 7.

I've decided to try Eve Online again. This isn't my first attempt to play the game, so I know what to expect. I was in the mood for that sort of game (open-ended, multiplayer, risky/dangerous, something complex) and so I thought I'd take a friend up on the offer for a one month trial, but I went into it this time with a plan and some research. I'm enjoying it more than I did the first time I attempted it, where I had no idea what I was doing or wanted to do. I kinda like that I have little pressure to always be playing as skill progression continues regardless of whether or not you're logged in - so at times when I'm bored, I can decide not to play for a day or so and do something else. I can't wait until I unlock my Covops frigate and cloak and go exploring in nullsec.

I just reached Koga in Pokemon Blue and I need to tell this story.

I don't have any Pokemon that are good against Psychic types. I remembered that Koga's gym also used Poison so I put Quake (my Sandslash) at the front of my party and hoped for the best. He was only level 34 when I reached the gym leader. I wasn't sure if I could beat him, but I decided to give it a try.

His first mon was a level 37 Koffing. Since I'm playing Blue I didn't have to worry about levitate, so I smashed him with dig.

Next he sent out a level 39 Muk. Two digs.

Another level 37 Koffing. Took him out with dig.

By now I was starting to remember more about Koga. I remembered that I used to spend a lot of time grinding around his gym because I always had a tough time with him. I was starting to wonder what was so difficult about him.

Finally, he sent out his last mon: a level 43 Weezing. This bastard had almost 10 levels on me. No one on my team even came close. Luckily I still had a full team at this point, so I felt confident I could beat him, but I decided to keep Quake out and see how much damage I could do.

Koga used self destruct. It was like he knew he couldn't win, but he wanted to spite me by robbing Quake of valuable xp. I was pissed.

Quake lived with 23 hp to spare and leveled up. :story:

I was playing Darkest Dungeon today. I just made a throwaway party to advance the week to see if I couldn't get a hound master to try out They were exploring the ruins and things were going okay considering they didn't have a healer or any provisions. But eventually 3 out of 4 of them were on Death's Door and had survived several death blows, but as I left an encounter with blight with no way to cure it was only a mater of time. Walking down a hallway the blight gets my man-at-arms which simultaneously triggers his stress to go over 100 causing him to be heroic reducing the stress of the party as he dies and the party restructuring throws the guy behind him into a trap that and kills him too. I figured he must have had some last words that put the party at ease and told the guy behind him to come closer triggering the trap.
I also noticed that they bumped the skeleton's bleed resistance to 200% because they couldn't figure out to make 100% actually mean 100% immune.

Splatoon. Played it at a friend's house before buying the Wii U bundle. I am loving it.

Can't wait for my Amazon order of Hyrule Warriors to come by tomorrow afternoon.
