What are you playing right now?

Finally got around to playing Doom: Eternal.

Kicking my ass, but that doesn't surprise me much. I really like a lot of the new additions like dashing and exploiting weak points.

Been a long time since I last played 2016, but I kinda like how much more intense and involved the fights seem to be. You really need to maintain a good balance between offense and defense and using your equipment to clear out enemies, refill ammo and getting armor.

Also, that intro is fucking badass. Simple and to the point.

Also been trying out various Doom WADS.

Re-playing Mass Effect 3, actually paying (some) attention to lore/codex stuff, and it borders on comedic how everyone is such a backstabbing weasel.

>Batarians had a Reaper corpse in their possession this entire time and kept it secret even after Shepard tells the whole galaxy about them and a reaper attacks the Citadel
>Asari keep their Prothean beacon a secret even though Shepard told everyone about one of those too and they could have tested it
>Salarians still planning ways to fuck over the Krogan while the apocalypse is on their doorstep
>Human politicians funneling money to Cerberus, which is attacking human colonies, just so he can try to stage a coup on the Citadel, and...hold it for like a week until the Reapers arrive?
>The new Krogan leader, after you save his people from genocide, shoots you a friendly e-mail saying he's going to conquer everything as soon as this war ends

The only people with a shred of decency seem to be the Turians

Modded KSP has taken over my whole life. I installed mods that added other star systems and the parts to be able to reach them, because Kerbol wasn't enough for me.

Some of my builds so far:

Typhoon-class Explorer SSTO:

Maven-class Interplanetary Cargo SSTO:

Eldorado-class 320-ton Interstellar Science Vessel (incredibly badass; landed on a planet with 44 atmo pressure and 600 kelvin surface temps and survived; can basically go anywhere and can water-land on aquatic planets, or even fly like a zeppelin with the negative mass from its warp drives):

KSP always seems like a game I should love and I love seeing things like this but playing it myself I just do not have the required patience. It's odd. All also say you should always start vanilla but I wonder if I should try an all-tricked out modded game and see if I like it more.

Just bought a copy of Heart of Crown PC

It’s a Dominion-like deck builder, by the Tanto Cuore people, and it actually has a couple interesting mechanics around scoring.

I lost my first 5 games in a row, but I think I’m getting the hang of it.

The Turians aren't saints either, they planted that fucking bomb on Tuchanka in case the Krogan got uppity.

If anything, I think 3 highlights just how the galactic community is more like a bunch of fair weather friends at best.

To be fair, this really isn't all that different from how things are in real life.

Sad it kind of undermines the message the series was trying to make.

on the stupid comics the illusive man had reaper tech slapped to his eyes so he is indoctrinated waaaaay before, that's why cerberus is stupid because they are supposed to be the "traitors" part of the lore, it sucks that this shit is locked under DLC but javik says that in his time before throwing people out of the airlock some protheans thunk they could control the reapers just like him and were made to stall things in order to make the harvest more effective.

also you didn't leave wrex alive did you? in the original canon wrex dies so his brother is supposed to be in charge and he is dumb AF to counter wrex's intelligent persona and did you forget the turians had a fucking bomb in tuchanka "just in case" the krogans go wild again?

and what would that be? that everything is bangable?

That you can unite people despite their differences and grievances for a cause that ensures everyone’s survival I guess. At least if you’re playing Paragon which the series is heavily biased towards. Especially in 3.

Thinking about it now though it would still probably work if there were more consequences for purely being Paragon other than the Salarian councilor not helping you. A reminder that idealism is nice in theory but it’s important not to be naive to what reality entails.

Rimworld and a bit of warhammer total war 2.

I rarely finish games so I'm trying to get a a full campaign on whtw2 before the new one pops I just hate how bogged down everything gets in mid late game, so I'm trying out nakai so I just get to stomp around being a badass

Genshin Impact. Currently trying to raise my Adventure Rank so I can continue the story. Might try and see if I can get ascension materials for the rest of my girls (and Kaeya), as I've only ascended Traveler and Amber so far. I've at least made it into Liyue, though.

Nah I wanted to keep my choices from the original game, which included killing Wrex, sacrificing the council, etc., so I used that silly backstory mini-game they have at the beginning of ME3 to select those options. It's weird how they frame a lot of those choices btw, like they make sacrificing the council seem like something Shepard did maliciously when in the actual game it was just "concentrate on Sovereign" and not "haha, let those alien scum burn, humanity #1 baby!".

I picked up Hearts of Iron IV while it was on sale a few days ago, mostly because I heard about Señor Hitler and I thought that sounded hilarious. So far it's pretty autistic and I don't exactly know what I'm doing but I'm still having a decent time with it.

Black Desert Online has gotten its cold icy grip around my neck yet again, like an abusive ex I cant escape. The season was such a good idea, it took all the shitty parts of levelling away and just let me play around.

Atm, I've been playing Lego City Undercover and it's a TON of fun.
I was also going to pick up FF15 again since my anniversary of first playing it for realsies not "install n leave" was last year,

I really recommend Lego City Undercover. Idc i'm not the demographic at all, but the story is so charming and the jokes are hysterical. If I had to explain, it's like GTA but for kids. You can't kill anyone like in Lego HP, but you can smash ATMS, run people over, freeze people, spray em with paint etc. It's REALLY big surprisingly for an open world game and there is so much shit to do i've only had it for about a month and I'm STILL not done playing it.

Join the genshin impact thread for ideas. Try to focus on building up primogens and look at the battle pass stuff.

I've been alternating between several of my Steam games: Binding of Isaac, The Legend of Bum-bo, Enter the Gungeon, Little Nightmares, and Two-Point Hospital. Because it was on sale and I've been wanting to play, I bought Darkest Dungeon and will start playing it soon.
