What are you reading right now?

AND don't forget The Lost World. It's one of those hardcover things where it has both books inside it and the special cover design and stuff. Then I have some old paperbacks and hardcovers of both of them too. :julay:

I then need to get started on Hunters of Dune and then Sandworms of Dune

And maybe reread Brave New World... :heart-full:
Never read the LotR books, but I saw the movies and got interested. I haven't really read them because I don't know where to get them. I usually bum books off of my friends or I'd use the school library when I was in high school. I know a friend with a worn out copy of The Hobbit that I've wanted to get my hands on for a while.

I... never actually got to read Brave New World. I know what it's about because we'd discuss it a lot in classes, but we never read it. I hear it's kind of like a foil to Nineteen Eighty Four, and I love that book, so I'd probably enjoy it.

Glad you asked!

Current books I'm "actively" reading are "Blowback: The Costs and Consequences of American Empire" by Chalmers Johnson and "Soul on Ice" by Eldrige Cleaver.

I was in a habit of reading two hours a day, but I kinda lost the habit as I spent some of that time sending out resumes and also watching Arrested Development. I need to get back in it though as I'm almost done with those books and I checked a few more books out of the library to read.

Hunters and Sandworms of Dune are unholy abominations that rape the legacy of Frank Herbert, and the two twits responsible for these two books need to have their hands chopped off so they can never type another garbage "Dune" book ever again.

Good Earth by Pearl S Buck was an awesome, awesome, awesome book. I've also read its two sequels (Sons and a House Divided) but Good Earth remains the best book of the three.
