What causes newfags to integrate poorly? - The scientific process behind Eternal Septemberism?

After seeing a 2025 joindate chimp out in the Loli Defenders thread and get banned for it, I started wondering about the newfag dilemma and why newer members of the site seem to integrate so poorly. Anecdotally, I notice the people who shit up threads tend to be those who joined the site more recently. Many of the people who do drive-by shitting in A&N are almost exclusively new accounts with a preposterously high amount of posts for their short tenure on the site because they're miserable freaks who fight with everybody.

This isn't purely anecdotal either; Null has previously closed registrations over the low quality of newfags. I find myself dissatisfied with throwaway explanations like "people who are new just suck more" because it's arbitrary and I'm sure that newfags today were doing the same things that newfags did ten years ago--yet somehow newfags today somehow feel newfagg-ier. I can't really articulate why.

I would imagine there's a few possible causes.

1. Shitty members typically won't stick around causing there to be a greater "density" of shitty members with 2025 join dates.

2. The only people who have 2025 join dates currently are people who made their accounts 2-3 months ago max so less time to adjust.

3. The site has been growing so the actual amount of newfags is increasing relative to the number of established members.

I think the problem newfags are either:
1. complete greenhorns to site culture and thus don’t know what things are frowned upon.
2. sock accounts of previously banned spergs who obviously don’t change their behavior.
3. people who don’t even want to integrate into site culture and join for the explicit purpose of arguing with people in lolcow threads (typically in defense of themselves, their friend(s) or their community) which seems to be what prompted OP into making this thread.

I think people who make accounts after lurking the site for a while are generally less troublesome. In my case I only joined about 2 years ago but I had been lurking since around 2018.

I mean I didn't need that much time to adjust when I joined. It's a simple task called "fucking lurk more" that nobody seems to think is necessary these days.

I'd be all for it. A simple rule that says if you refer someone, you are personally vouching for their character and non-retardedness, and if they managed to get banned in their first 90 days, you get booted along with them.

Back to the main topic, its been said in this thread already but its because newfags to the farms fall largely into a few groups who act like faggots.

A) People who migrated from other sites (Reddit, 4chan, X, etc.) and treat it like it like those other sites with no respect or attention paid to the farms actual culture/rules

B) Autists who just created alt accounts to get around thread bans to act autistically until they are threadbanned again

C) Baiters who want to get a rise out of other users

Its gotten worse because of all the fuckery that has been happening behind the scenes making this site one that is difficult to find and actually make an account for, meaning the farms get more autists and baiters who are more willing to put in the effort than migrants, who can be molded into proper farmers in time unlike the other two groups, shitting up threads.

I want to add that whenever something major happens with a lolcow or something political, people come out of the woodworks from those communities to whiteknight or be involved in the shitstorm.

My own theory is that year by year you get more users who have never interacted with forum culture back in its heyday, so its a much bigger shock when we've got people now who were raised and only know social media, nu-4Chan and subreddits instead of things like IRC and ye olde game forums. Its like watching someone who has never driven stick try to figure out what that strange rod in their car is.
