Well who do you main? Are you a dime-a-dozen troon who mains Fox / Falco and sucks? A sadist who mains Ice Climbers? Are you a Ness player desperately in denial about how shit the character is? Are you a wannabe giga-chad who wants to be the next Amsa but can't figure out Yoshi is just meant for another tier of player?

By the way this is Smash Bros Melee only. I will tolerate Smash 64 players because they are OG but anything after Melee is niggerlicious.

I never played much of Melee but I almost always used Pikachu or Star Fox. I love Pikachu's Up+b attack that sends down the lightening bolt, it's such a great sneak move. Fox has the reflect shield which can absolutely wreck people when used right (my favorite was reflecting a full-charged power shot from Samus, it basically killed her in one hit). They are both fast characters with quick grabs. Falco was somewhat ok since he was so similar to Star Fox.
BTW SSB64 was and is the best Smash Bros. game. Melee was good but 64 just feels so buttery and smooth.

Pickachu's down B is the lightning bolt move, his up B is his recovery move. Your opinion is discarded however I will not call you a nigger out of respect for the Smash 64 community.

SSBM: Shiek, but I used Samus almost as much. I'd throw Mario in occasionally too.

64: Pikachu almost exclusively.

Brawl: Pit, oddly enough. Not sure that'd hold true today.

Wii U/3DS: Shiek and Samus again, mostly Shiek pre-nerfs, then started using Samus more afterwards.

SSBU: King K. Rool, though I use Samus a lot and Mario, plus other characters fairly often. It's the first game in the series I feel comfortable playing a wider selection of characters.

All SSBs are great except Brawl, which is still fun if you resign yourself to total casual play with items and stage hazards, then the tripping just blends into the chaos. Otherwise it's just playable/decent, it's still got good single player content too though, maybe the best of the series.

Pikachu was the goat, especially in 64
People complain about fox but I'm pretty sure pikachu could break the game worse
