What do you find irritating about YouTubers?

And yeah, true crime channels censoring words like suicide, murder, rape, abuse, assault, etc.; Turkey Tom does this in his long videos now, like when talking about internet lore involving abuse from influencers. Whenever I hear one of his videos, I keep thinking my internet connection is fucked up, but lo and behold he just keeps censoring words that aren't even cuss words. Abuse? Assault? Give me a fucking break, this ain't Sesame Street.

I wanna make something perfectly clear: Jeremy isn't right wing. Just have to listen to the TISM podcast to find out that everything he says is for the grift. Including his word choices.

I think it speaks volumes of how uninformed people are with their associations, and pretend money just flows out of the wheelbarrow because you followed a flimsy instruction page on how to shill. Sponsors are not as cut and dry as people think they are, and you can get fucked sideways if you don't do basic research before tying some spyware or fly by night to your channel. It also speaks even greater volumes with how burnt out your average content creator is.

When Youtubers either do

"Please respect my opinion and I'll respect yours" while shitting on something non-stop that people would like

When they think contrarianism is something that makes them smarter than everyone else

"Don't harass this user" after making a video about why they're a scumbag and/or have done irredeemable shit

Penguinz0 does this gay shit. He'll make a clickbait video that's 15 minutes of him reacting to a viral 30-second TikTok, with a title like, "Wow, this guy is is evil" and he doesn't mention the TikTok guy's name or anything, and doesn't link to the original video so I can watch it myself.

Name and shame, motherfucker. Name and shame.

I am going to use a specific Youtuber who embodies several other things I find irritating about youtubers, this one is JelloApocalypse, under fire for basically being a shit localizer, but he has always been shit especially for these reasons which are bad for any Youtuber:

- Makes videos about various topics where he just uses it to shit on it without substance.

- Openly mocks and belittles people for having opinions different from him.

- Acts like a know-it-all authority who acts like his opinion is the only one that matters.

- To follow up, he tries to force his fans to have the same opinions as him.

- Plays off things in a silly voice to make things look stupider than they are.

- Acts really pretentious about even the silly things he likes.

- Plays the victim when he gets pushback as though he didn't instigate the problem.

The peak of this shit is in several things from his "This is Basically" series, his shitty Ace Attorney tier lists, or even his Jojo twitter drama.

But this video is pretty much everything you need to know about him. Even if you are a democrat or liberal, this video is terrible and made by a pretentious pompous dickheaad.

-When their sense of humor consists of mispronouncing names and in-jokes that only 3 people in their friend group would get.

-Flashing text on screen for 1 frame and it’s just some shit they couldn’t record in post.

-Interrupting their video for an obnoxious, overly long ad read.

-And in the case of some reviewers I’ve seen, parroting the popular opinion because it’ll get them asspats on Twitter.

Not knowing the limits of their own intelligence and failing to realize how little the value of what they "produce" is. I'm all for them going on about how grateful they are and love their fans. But hearing some literally who I just heard of think they said some profound shit with basic criticism of something is some laughable shit. Come on, man. You made a video with changing images over your voice. The only difference between that and a literal paragraph was you took more effort in presentation.

I haven't kept up with that drama when it happened, but from what I know there was a lot of things that definitely matched up but nothing outright 100% proven without a shadow of a doubt, concrete FACTS that he is the same person as that brapfaggot.

But probably more like 95% certain.

one of the worst examples of this is markiplier and how he really wants to believe he's something more than a guy who screams at video games, with his latest films showing off how bad at comedy he is

I don't really have a problem with them talking about the process of making videos and how hard it can be, but it drives me up the wall when Youtubers act like they're entitled to success just because they do the bare minimum. We're pretty lucky to be living at the exact point in time where you can be paid for doing what's essentially a hobby, so any sense of ungratefulness is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
