What do you find irritating about YouTubers?

YouTube's copyright enforcement is a bitch to work with, so people obviously don't want to risk pissing off big bad Google (or music label) and getting their channel demonetized or worse.

Realistically, many of the issues these guys have can be blamed on two things: Their lack of originality (which is why we have tons of LP channels, tons of object destruction channels, tons of conspiracy channels, several "Animation" channels, etc.) and YouTube's piss poor management.

At least VPNs are useful, but I personally go for the per-month plan rather than the 75% off thing or whatever as that's not really a good deal in the long run.

I've always been skeptical with these VPN companies. I simply can't trust if they are actually securing my data.

I hate when they act like they're better than, or are otherwise condescending, to their audiences, especially if they start doing it after their channel starts to get big.
Mine is similar. I hate when the channel starts to go down hill and they act like getting a job is equivalent to a death sentence. It's fine for their audience so they can keep up those superchats but god forbid they would have to clock their 40 hours a week.

Similar to screaming, when they're unnecessarily loud. As though the viewer is in a room across the way and they feel the need to increase their decibels since it's not like the microphone is by their mouth already.

Also when they piece the audio together by cutting out any pauses or breaths of air. It's like you're getting rammed by a wall of speech. It's indecipherable babble at that point.

Finally, how they're all becoming the same in terms of content, style, and personality because everyone wants sponsors.

Bonus: the entire beauty community.

All reaction videos and youtubers with shit voices. I mean if youtube is your job I'd think a bare minimum of an expectation is that your voice isn't irritating to listen to when you're just speaking normally. Personally if I'm interested in the topic they're talking about but I hate their voice I'll just find another youtuber whose talking about it to watch who doesn't make my ears bleed(or just look it up on google if I have the time). Also youtubers shilling garbage products and services.

The fact they're trying to use popular youtubers to attract consumers is kind of a red flag to me

We had a thread about that last month:

It turns out a bunch of Chinese companies own all top Vpns. I think I found all the Vpns that were shilled by youtubers on the list so I'd say you're right to be suspicious of it.

  • Unpopular opinion: I enjoy some reaction videos. However, I do not enjoy it when said reactor interrupts every 5 seconds to say something witty. It loses the point of reaction because I can’t get the context of what a YouTuber is reacting to
  • Any Youtuber that calls themselves an ‘activist’, ‘influencer’ or both
  • YouTubers that shill their Patreon at the beginning and end of their videos
  • Youtubers that rely solely on monetization and Patreon to get money because they decided to quit their steady job
  • Youtubers that make historical/political/informational commentary and don’t bother citing sources, but expect to be taken seriously anyway
  • Youtubers that fall for obvious trolling/bait and use said troll to as an example for group they don’t like
  • Youtubers that make clickbait thumbnails
  • Youtubers that take 20+ minutes to talk about something that could have been 12 minutes or less
  • Youtubers that use the word “haters” in a serious manner

YouTubers who have channels dedicated to video games or tabletop games, but you can tell they know jack shit about it. Just more of the increasing trend of hipster fake nerd fags using those two forms of entertainment to either be "le epic nerdz guiz!" or to push socjus woke bullshit.

I'd say any hobby oriented channel that does this should be avoided like the plague, but it seems most prevalent in vidya and tabletop.

Semi-related, but when YouTube commenters have nothing original or thought-provoking to add to the discussion, other than:

X: [insert phrase here]
X: I’MMA BOUT TO END THIS WHOLE MAN’S CAREER

And other associated memes. Every fucking time.

  • Youtubers who have sponsors. The video starts like if it was a normal video, then one minute into it they begin shilling for the sponsor.

  • Youtubers that take 20+ minutes to talk about something that could have been 12 minutes or less
This. People like The Quarterpounder, it's their "job" to read the fucking news article but they're going to pause in the middle of a sentence, breathe into the mic and look at the camera while the Gaming Chair™ is making a noise like if they're expecting me to say something. Just read the god damn article, then give us your big brain opinion and shill your Patreon, that's it.

- Having sponsors in the middle of videos instead of at the beginning or end (Many youtubers do this and it's annoying)
- Making videos where they act like their popular opinions are unpopular (A lot of anitubers and gaming youtubers do this)
- Generalizing all critics as "haters" (See Mumkey Jones)
- Acting holier than thou (Look above)
- Hypocritical shills who hate sell outs but are sell outs themselves to the beliefs they expressed (See Mother's Basement)
- Acting like they are the smartest person in the room (See Sargon and Matpat)

Talking about everything but the topic of the video.
We don't need a 5 minute intro where you explain your day-to-day life.
Someone famous once said: "Brevity is the soul of wit"... I think it was Kanye West.

In the same vein, when Podcasts which are just about current events and video reactions have 30 minute intros where they do nothing but scream and make in jokes.
And then they wonder why there's very little growth.
