What do you think is actually worth an admirable if Enter was a good cartoon reviewer?

I'd like to see him review Fantasia, but it's the same problem I have with people reviewing Citizen Kane or Marlon Brando's acting performance in On The Waterfront. We don't need another person to explain why it's good.

Actually, I wonder what he thinks of the animation sequences in The Wall. I remember my sister seeing it for the first time and not understanding what was going on, and I wonder if Enter would have the same problem.

I'd really like to see him review Spice City as well. Particularly the lesbian robot episode. It was a show with good voice acting, good animation, network support and everything else a show needs to succeed. The show's downfall was that the writing was terrible because the show's creator refused to hire real writers to write the scripts. He hired his friends and people who were nice to him to write the scripts, much like what Enter's doing with GA.

Long story short, the network executives denied Spice City a second season because he refused to hire professional writers to improve the show's single crippling flaw. Then it faded into obscurity.

It is Ralph Bakshi so I'll cut him some slack.

That's what happens.

Would Enter research the animation styles used back then? Like the rotoscope? Sure it might be "lazy" to some, but it didn't take away some of the timelessness of Bakshi's work. Bakshi pushed the envelope and touched on subjects quite taboo for the times.

Judging by all the stuff I've read here, Enter is the Antibakshi. He refuses to push ANY envelopes. They'll just sit on the table, piling up until all those envelopes fall and crush Enter.

Granted, today's companies don't want to take too many risks. GA is not a risk they'd ever want to take, not without excising anything and everything Enter.

Definitely Looney Tunes. Or hell, there's plenty of old shorts from various studios, even from the black-and-white era, that have aged like fine wine and would be ripe for admirables.
But most of those are humor and Enter doesn't know how to laugh.

Ghibli is rather anti youtube so it's unlikely even if he enjoys some of them.
It took a good friend of mine 20 years ago to get me into Ghibli in those pre-YouTube days.

Has anyone here ever heard of Sita Sings the Blues? I think it's worthy of an Admirable, especially considering it was made almost entirely by one person, but I have a feeling he wouldn't be impressed by it.

Certainly a terrific achievement for one person to do.

Actually, disregard that. Maybe I should participate in this discussion, but instead with a different question.

What do you think is actually worth an atrocity if Enter was a good cartoon reviewer?

Answer: This thread, because it's off to Spergatory it goes.
