Ditto for anyone else who has this insane notion that science and logic are somehow antithetical to Christianity.
There will always be cognitive dissonance between their beliefs. But no just because someone is religious does not mean they can be scientific or logical. They can come up with cope explanation on how a scientific theory doesn't invalidate their religious faith.

Bible doesn't talk about the ice age, because the people who wrote it had no clue. The concept of God it describe is obviously fake, and your faith in the religion is misplaced unless you try to turn that theology into a reality. It's no different at that point from someone trying to make 40k warhammer nerdy stuff a reality or star trek stuff.

It doesn't negate what I said: the scientific method and the explanations it creates indeed unraveled the mysteries of the universe. A religious person can use the scientific method to do so even if the scientific bodies of knowledge says their faith must be a load of shit. Very intelligent people can have dubious beliefs.

Anyways, the purpose of life is to simply make things happen.

Life really isn't like that. Most problems are left unsolved.

Just have to try to deal with what you can and not let the other shit get to you.
