The first one was pretty decent...for about three quarters of the game. The last portion after the WYK reveal is a total slog that adds absolutely nothing to the story and is only there to needlessly extend the runtime.
The second one is a guilty pleasure of mine. I am not sure if the first game was even intended to have a sequel, since the gameplay in 2 is pretty damn derivative (Although being able to use weapons and plasmids at the same time is a really welcome addition), and especially by how they had to stretch/retcon the original plot to accommodate this one:
"Hey guys, let's introduce this character that was seemingly pivotal to Rapture but was never mentioned even in passing in BS1 (Sure, Ryan memoryholed her, but it's not like everybody else was giving a damn), who somehow managed to survive almost a full decade on Rapture's equivalent of Alcatraz, completely cut off from the world, on a city that was literally falling apart just a year after the civil war, with zero life support infrastructure, who also managed to capture girls on the surface and bring them to Rapture (But not get the fuck out of there). Also, since the previous game's theme was "Individualism bad", let's go with "Colectivism bad" for this game's theme"
And even in spite of this idiocy, the game manages to be pretty enjoyable. The moral choices and the different endings are decently done, and the gameplay stays good to the very end. Also, Minerva's Den was a pretty nice DLC, far better than any DLC from 1.
Bioshock Infinite is absolute cancer. The gameplay is a complete downgrade, and the story is the equivalent of Ken Levine masturbating in your face for 20 hours. It even managed to taint the first game by association (i.e Burial Under the Sea).
