What do you turn to for news? - Of course roasting each other's news sources is encouraged

I have a weather radio in the kitchen. I’ll turn that on every morning while I’m making coffee. That’s about it as far as “news” goes. If I can’t trust it, I see no reason to consume it.

I don't know about you guys but I get all of my news from /pol/. If they preface the thread with "HAPPENING for real this time get in here lads" and pic related is the flashing Ron Paul meme then I know it's definitely worth reading.

I'm probably one of the few that doesn't read A&N because the constant bitching and blackpilling is tiresome to me.

I try to go as bias-free as I can with news sources. AP, Reuters, etc. There is a source I've been looking at lately, NewsNation, which is supposed to be apparently a more neutral cable news channel. I look at their website from time to time.
>I try to go as bias-free as I can with news sources. AP, Reuters
lol

Edit:
Seriously though, there's no such thing as a bias-free news source. Everyone has biases and it will affect how they relay information even if they're entirely honest.

I get my news exclusively from a tight circle of schizos who believe Uyghur genocide is an American fabrication and that China has only had 1 COVID death per 10mn people.

yeah, as horrific as the realization is, Articles and Hitlerings is probably the least-bad general news source I can find for things beyond "local car crash happened yesterday" stuff

Used to read stuff like quillette and takimag but frankly I'm fucking tired of the news

Only check economic news because my country is fucked

I will watch TV news when I get up for work but I don't really read newspapers. I look at a few Arabic language sites too (Kul Al Arab and Panet).

unironically, here.
and if i hear of some event outside of kiwifarms, i still return here to confirm what's being said on the matter. it's not that i think the farms has more integrity or anything, it's just that from what i seen anytime false information comes out someone always pops up to correct it and call people out on stupid shit. it's just not often i see the farms double down on misinformation, or just go radio silent when they get things wrong like outside sources do.

By and large, Articles/Happenings here. For financial news, ZeroHedge. Political matters, The Last Refuge/Conservative Treehouse and for more generalized/current/world events, RT & Al Jazerra.

RT is actually quite phenomenal for documentaries - vastly superior to any US twenty-four hour/network "news" source - and Al-Jazerra, though incredibly biased in some cases, approaches news in an entirely different way than US media.

thats a pretty good idea. i havent looked at the actual news in weeks. though at this point, this is the actual news.

News is usually miserable anyways. I'd only look it up if it's enough to buzz around my friend circles.

Hongkong based South China Morning Post is pretty good. Slightly pro-beijing of course, but nuanced.
