What does "Gender Identity" mean?

It's a corruption of the word "identity". Gender identity does nothing but serve as a path to the antipode of self-actualization.

The whole concept of "Gender" is basically bullshit. What genderspecials mean when they use that word is "we want to talk about the Sexes, but Sex has a definitive binary, so we need another word that has no implication of a binary." I think it started as "it's ok for men to like feminine things and women to like masculine things" and just progressed to the batshit insane place it is now in social media echo chambers.

The truth is that there are a definitive two Sexes. You are either one or the other, (with exceptions but Intersex people are abnormal outliers) and there is absolutely nothing you can do to change that. What a Man and a Woman are is almost entirely up to the society that Man or Woman grows up in. There is a biological influence on what a society deems masculine or feminine, but by and large the west has decided that in terms of law and societal role, there isn't really a difference. I could yell about this shit for pages and pages but ill just stop it here because it's short and to the point.

Call me a sperg but I find the definition the LGB Alliance provides to be plenty helpful:

"gender identity:
Like “transgender,” gender identity is defined many different ways by its proponents. It typically describes one’s personal sense of being male or female or neither, regardless of one’s actual sex. Since male and female are material reality and not feelings, “gender identity” is based on gender stereotypes. Since these vary across time and cultures, it is difficult to provide a concrete definition of the term, especially as new “genders” are regularly invented that seem to have nothing to do with sex or even necessarily gender roles, but rather serve as labels to express one’s personal interests or characteristics. We prefer to call this “personality.”"

So basically, just sex-based stereotypes in my opinion. Gender identity is absolutely unnecessary in the western world but it makes people feel special and oppressed, so there's my two cents.

It's bullshit because there are no such things as "gender identity". Mother nature has already identifyed you as XY or XX. If you don't like how the word "sex" sounds and pefer to say "gender" intstead it's up to you but the fatasy that you can "identify with a gender" is a total bullshit. You will need another body from the scratch with another chromosome set to do that, an impossible task as of the day we live in.
