Nowadays every old property is seeing a revival, reboot, or remake. A handful of them are good but most tend to be pretty bad.
Can a property truly return even with proper funding and the original actors, writers and creators behind it? Are we the problem thinking the creators will trap lightning in a bottle one more time?
I don't think it can be done properly after 10+ years most of the time. Even if you get all the original individuals involved, it's still hard to pull off. People change over time and with it their wants, needs, and ideas about subject matter.
