What game or games do you regret playing the most?

Any and all MMO's.

And I have yet to learn my lesson. Been trapped in Ultima Online for nearly a year now. The main appeal of it for me is 99% of the player base is boomers, and I enjoy pissing them off and being better than them at a game they've been playing for 20 fucking years. Then I think of all the productive shit I could of been doing... MMO's are evil.

Like learning proper grammar, for instance.

I stuck with Halo Infinite way longer than I should because the multiplayer was decently fun but eventually I just got tired of all the stupid battle pass and event pass things that made the game feel like a chore to play.
I played MP for about a week after the release and it's beyond me how there was maybe 30% of the content that shold've been there. Basically they released another unfinished game and promised delivering the rest in a """roadmap""", Just preposterous.

Division 1,I still remember the hype around this game like its yesterday. Everyone thought it'll be some hardcore mil-sim shooter yet we got is a dogshit rpg slop.
World of Tanks. I was a decent sized whale in it and loved the game for a long time. Seeing what it is now I'm so glad I quit well over a decade ago.
As a veteran war thunder player,I feel you.

It’s so extremely easy to sink thousands of hours into MMO’s. Ultima hooked me for a bit, but quickly moved to Lord of Ultima when that came out, then Crown of the Gods after it shut down. They’re so fun but man what a waste of time.

It's a three way tie between EU4, Stellaris, and Crusader Kings 3. My friends who don't shower said they're great, so much fun. They even offered to teach me how to play. And I wasted three nights (not consecutive) trying to figure out how mechanics work while they fucked off to do empire building and didn't answer any questions I had. I'll never get that money back

It blows my mind every single time to think Reach launched with both Forge and Firefight while it took literal years for Infinite to get either and they were vastly inferior to what Reach had. Firefight being as dogwater as it was ended up being the final nail in the coffin for me.

Another problem I had was the thing in the screenshot. In only about 10h of gameplay I experienced many "reciprocal" melee kills. We'd hit each other simultaneously and we'd both get the frag. I don't know if that was intentional, but it didn't make much sense to me.
Halo Infinite Melee.webp

Fuckin halo 4. Middleschool me was the biggest halo fan. Played all of them besides 2. Preordered halo 4 and was one of the few games I regretted pre ordering. Shit, how bad does a game gotta be to turn off a middle schooler from any future entry. Probably biggest gripe is it wasn't as good as the others but the cherry on top was how limited it seemed with customizing armor. Arbitrary unlocks or forced online. I don't remember what but it didn't have the customizability of 3 and definitely not reach.

  • Bioshock - subversive kike shit
  • Watch_Dogs 2 - nigger, why would I play as a nigger!? I regret completing it! I love the first one tho!
  • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - Just slop, I guess I can make the excuse it was lockdowns etc, but I could have played something else. I think it was sunk cost fallacy, bought it on sale and "had to complete it".
  • The Walking Dead - It's just nigger slop.
  • The Journey Down - Click and point nigger propaganda slop. I was such a retarded normie in high school.
  • Day of the Tentacle - Never completed it, I got tricked into thinking it was going to be comfy as Grim Fandango, but it's just a childrens game.

Probably Call of Duty: Vanguard for me. Going into it, I knew the game was going to be fairly shit; the Campaign is outright revisionist history, and the Zombies mode has a TON of issues, but I hadn't honestly seen much on the Multiplayer, so I decided to give the game a fair shot for the sake of writing a review here. Shockingly enough, it felt like the devs went out of their way to make the shittiest possible gameplay loop; melee was ridiculously slow and poorly implemented, gunplay was jumpy and completely random, connection was absolute dogshit, the character models all looked like the same generic monkey-faced blob, the maps were the most watered-down and dull that I've ever seen with VERY few exceptions, and the game just felt more slapdash than even the handheld titles.

That's not even getting into the political crap the game forced in. Seriously, I've got a high tolerance for bullshit in video games - I played Ruff Trigger when I was a kid and genuinely enjoyed it - but Vanguard was just the absolute biggest piece of dogshit that I've ever seen.
