What Happened to Hipsters?

Whatever happened to hipsters? I remember back in the late 2000's and 2010s they were a fairly big thing then almost overnight it seems like the entire hipster culture just kind of vanished. I know there's still faggots out there that drink pbr and wear vintage clothes but it seems like the whole insufferable douchebag hipster thing just kind of went away.

If you want to define the hipsters of the 2010s as those who don't easily conform to the social norm and sometimes have less than savory opinions but aren't exactly contrarian, I think that kind of mindset morphed into what is referred to as the "alt right." If you're only referring to the aesthetics, then well they trooned out and became soy.

For me it's my plasma, I will miss it and have a hard time finding a new TV with any ports besides hdmi and usb (if that)

It's because of the "Analog Sunset" that device manufacturers agreed to. Most of the major electronics manufacturers agreed to stop putting analog ports on TV's after 2018 or so. As a result you will only find digital inputs on TV's and digital outputs on various media devices. They wanted to close the "analog loophole" that allowed for analog input/output since it can't be encrypted. Once again, removing consumer choice.

Gentrification made it too expensive for Hipsters to live in their little hipster enclaves so they all went to the suburbs and eventually assimilated into everyday life. Now their kids are fucking trooning out & making everyone use stainless steel straws. The biggest hold over I notice is the existence of those barber shops still all decked out like it's some 18th century cigar & brandy lounge.

Cheap TV's often still have VGA & RCA inputs. Components long gone though
