What Have You Cooked Recently?

I haven't eaten all day so I'm having breakfast for dinner.

Fancied burgers the other night, so whipped up two on both Saturday and Sunday.

Brioche buns, good quality Aberdeen Angus, red onions, English mustard, lettuce, and strong English cheddar. Salted the patties good and proper before searing.

I think I ate both in about 90 seconds.
What did you season the meat with? I've been trying to get the hang of it but I've yet to capture the flavor I want.

We have burgers a couple times a month, and I always sear them in my cast iron pan. Except a couple days ago, I randomly decided to broil them. They were just as delicious, and the clean up was so much easier (I lined the pan with foil), and there wasn't all the smoke and lingering smell. I think I'll stick to that method for awhile.
Btw, I had a double with American cheese, pickle, onion, shredded lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup and mustard.

Today I ended up having a simple but fucking tasty breakfast. A perfectly soft boiled egg, a strip of crispy bacon, 2 sausage links, an apple cut into thin slices with honey for dipping, a wedge of queso fresco, and some good whole grain toast with real Irish butter.
Simple, delicious.
One of my favorite breakfasts is a single poached egg on a slice of toast and a cup of Earl Grey.

I've recently made stuffed bell peppers with a twist. The young kids I've fed loved it despite saying they hate half of what was in it. I got one kid to make it herself for her family.

I cut the usual beef/rice mixture in half by adding chopped and simmered zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, spinach, onions & tomatoes combined with brown rice and either beef or turkey. Then topped with cheese. Frickin healthy and delicious!!

Made burgers again last night. Seasoned them with McCormick's Hamburger seasoning, topped them with Cheddar for my burger and Swiss for the Mrs. Then I added an egg fried in the beef grease and onion rings and put some Mayo and BBQ sauce on the top bun. Had to pan fry em because we don't have any place for a grill to go, but they turned out damn good.

A yeasted gugelhupf with a chocolate walnut swirl and a hot glaze of vanilla and sugar. It was mucho delicioso, and didn’t last very long in the house.
The swirl is literally just chopped walnuts mixed with cocoa powder and a little sugar, and overall it’s more of a sweet and savory bread than a modern cake.
Turned out very well, I’m pleased with it.

This looks actually delicious. I've seen pictures of dishes here that I'm sure were actually delicious, but this is actually a good picture of one too. I never even heard of a gugelhupf before.

Thank you.
It is very delicious. A gugelhupf is an old-style Germanic cake traditionally made with raisins, dried cherries, and almonds. It's so old, leavening agents like baking soda and baking powder weren't used, so it must use yeast to rise. This makes it more like a slightly sweet bread than a really sweet cake, it's worth making even if you don't really have a sweettooth.
