What Have You Cooked Recently?

Some weird chicken dish. I fried the skin side of two entire chicken legs off in a crockpot (seasoned them with salt and pepper first, obviously), took them out, fired in a whole head of garlic and slices of ginger, added coriander and cumin seeds, then turmeric and some dried chillis about a minute later. Threw in a 500g pot and a half of yoghurt and some salt, put the chicken back in and topped it up with chicken stock. Left it in the oven at 150/160°C or so for a few hours.
I grated a clove of garlic into the remainder of the yoghurt and added salt and pepper, smeared it on the plates and put some chickpeas I fried on top. Took some of the grease from the top of the crockpot and added it to the plate, then sat the chicken on top and covered it with spring onions and fresh mint.

Came out pretty good, though I'd double up the spices next time, maybe use fresh chillis instead. The liquid I cooked it in yesterday is being used today to make a curried soup of some form.

edit: I am a retard that cannot spell words

Random suggestion, try tuna with sour cream vs mayo. I think it goes far better with jacket potato's 20230318_195700.jpg

Anyone have a good use for that extra tomato sauce I mentioned earlier today? I can probably dress it up for pasta again, but I’d like something else to last half-ish cup after that. It’s just olive oil, garlic, chili flakes, and tomato passata that could probably do with being cooked out a little more so I have a pretty broad canvas to work with.

You're out of pasta, but are you out of rice?

You could make it into a pizza sauce. Brian Lagerstrom has an easy pizza dough recipe on youtube that can be done in an hour-ish. If that's not feasible you can use store bought garlic bread and make some pizza bread instead. Or, you could thin it out and make some shakshuka type egg dish.

Blueberry lemon Bundt cake. It tastes great, but it has that problem some fruit cakes can have: is it actually baked thru or is it just really really moist. (I’m going with moist for my own sanity)
It also came out of the pan like a dream, idk why I haven’t been buttering and flouring my pans before.

Crab Bisque. Made my own seafood stock and got a deal on lobster claws. Feel like I should of reduced the stock more, but I liked the Soup itself. I used claw instead of lump and a Chardonnay instead of a Sherry, but ultimately it's more for my friends who are Catholic and Orthodox than me. I participate in Lent with them and I enjoy cooking for people.

I feel like the number of seafood recipes I have are honestly lacking. It comes down to Teriyaki Honey Salmon, Lemon Cilantro Shrimp, baked cod, Mussels in white wine and tomatoes, and Salmon pinwheels. I do not count pasta dishes among these because pasta is in it's own category.

"Bolognese" yesterday. Lots of beef stock, bell pepper paste, chili powder and garlic. I basically just put some of everything that's red and not jam in it from my fridge, and a semi-random selection from my spice rack. Turns out a bit different every time, but as long as it's rich and the salt content is right it's hard to go wrong.

I dunno, throw some burrito meat into some mac and cheese, you've got something decent. Campbells dumps a shit grade chili, elbow noodles, and tomato soup into a can and says "good enuff"

I wasn't trying to meme, but the video did give me a laugh, I completely forgot it.
