What Have You Cooked Recently?

Pan fried salmon with random mushroom (it's a dry blend been soaking all day) risotto and carrots.

Thanks for the suggestion. My issue Sunday was that no grocery stores had any seafood stock or bouillon, so I had literally nothing for the recipe I finally had found fish stock at the back of a shelf in a Giant Eagle.
Hey, neighbor!

Made caprese salad for me, the wife and her boyfriend.

Nice smoked salt and the fancy balsamic that's thick like honey.

I'm a lazy fuck so just stick it on a plate instead of making it all organized in lines like a restaurant.

I got some Mae Ploy Thai curry paste off Amazon recent and finally had an opportunity to use it.

Fuckin-A, that shit is great. Smells like you are cooking some vegetal moldy dirt initially, but some fish sauce, coconut milk, basil and lime and you've got yourself some serious shit going on.

Highly recommended for anyone likes the idea of a spicy curry but can't take the pajeet aroma. Probably doesn't make you smell the next day either, as they don't look for freakish plants that smell vaguely of onion and dead bodies and throw it in their food instead of a normal onion.

The Mae ploy paste is the best I've used. My favorite is the green. It's so easy to make a fantastic curry with it. I like to cook chicken thigh in oil first, then add the paste and fry it for a couple minutes before adding green beans, cook a few more minutes, add the coconut milk, simmer, add fish sauce, a little sugar, salt, and msg. Serve with rice or rice noodles.

Good morning, Sunday morning! *shakes in Pelosi*

Making some sausage gravy for biscuits: Jimmy Dean sage sausage, onion, milk, 1/2-n-1/2, nutmeg, salt & pepper. It's a tradition in our home. Biscuits are just Pillsbury Buttermilk Flaky Grands. Yum.

For lunch I am making myself a Maryland Crab Cake and sandwiching it on a toasted potato bun with mayo and lettuce. If you have not tried McCain's Craft Beer Battered French Fries, do yourself a favor and get some. I deep fried mine, perfection. Have a lovely day frens!

Potatoes make a great addition too.

I made renskav or sauted reindeer. Although I used force of nature ground elk since I don't have access to reindeer here. I browned the ground meat with sliced onions in butter first, then I added beer into it. Once the beer has been reduced, I add cream with pickled mushrooms to make it a sauce. I served it on top of mash potatoes with lingonberry jam and pickled cucumbers on the side.

Tomorrow, I'm making some chicken wings to go with frozen pizza. They're nonsectioned, so I get to play with my meat cleaver. Why didn't I buy frozen chicken wings to go with frozen pizza? Because you can't have dogfood grade wings with a Dr. Oetker's Pizza. Probably just gonna dredge them and season them, and bake em in the oven like usual and then cover them in wing sauce.

I've also been curing lox in the fridge for the past two days. It should be good to go by tomorrow morning so I can have some on a bagel with cream cheese before I go to work.
