What have you done since the farms has been down.

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
You were in the telegram chat as well with the Terese art avatar, right? What commander? Been a while since I've gotten out to play cards since they wanted to remove Terese and low-key cut Seb for supporting the Freedom Convoy. At least it wasn't a public execution like Terese, but shameful regardless.
Yeah that was me kinda was offline in the past week because I was getting outside. I was building Oona, it’s mostly flavor faerie tribal! They can’t cut Seb he does 60% of their art recently and getting rid of both would be shooting themselves in the foot. I do try to sneak Terese art into my decks though, every time I buy one from a a cardshop thats got a troon running the counter they HAVE to say something.

I got certified in AWS and Splunk so the site going down was great for me. Felt good to take a month long break since I knew the site would be back up eventually. Thanks to troons my pay has been upped by a few thousand euros, and I'll set aside some of that money to fund spaces where I can laugh at you

This is actually a great question because the farms is one of the few remaining places of "old" internet culture. Allow me to elaborate.

For a lot of us here, we grew up in a time where the internet was free. I came from early SA, and from there I went on to early 4chan, SD under Sherrod, etc.
I'm sure you know what I mean. The time when things weren't particularly political and we weren't at each others throats all the time. I understand the argument "get with the times gran" but frankly even I feel under attack, where there used to be a lot of online places in the past where you could shitpost to your hearts content, there's now only really a couple of places left like the farms and the rdrama spinoff. I don't for a second believe that it is because I'm hurting people with the things I say because I believe that everyone takes things very personally now and we should all ease up a little, times are tough around the world and compassion is hard to find. It seems that nowadays compassion is something you find within your own bubble.

Social control used to take care of a lot of things that now separate us. For example, on early 4chan, the "/pol/tards" were commonly called stormfags. We co-existed with these people, we didn't share their opinions but there was a common understanding of respecting their right to say them however wrong they were.

So, to answer the question, I haven't actually done anything while the farms were down, I mostly just spent my time trying to find similar places and didn't really find any since.. They came for me too. I enjoy lurking and seeing the wide variety of thoughts and views here. But for reasons stated above, there's no other place online to read this. Freedom of speech is not achieved by pushing people into their own bubbles and corners of the internet, freedom of speech is achieved through tolerance of other's thoughts and ideas. I've said many dumb things in the past, including here, and I'm happy to receive a Dumb award every now and then if it means I get to speak my mind instead of being downvoted, muted, kicked, banned or having to 10bux from my parents phone through daopay again.

Tolerance does not mean acceptance, and nuance is a word of yesterday. By excluding people, you eventually start excluding "your own" until there's nobody left or a demographic shift happens.

I have subbed to a bunch of YouTuber's that document lolcows/other internet topics. I managed to get muted from using chat in Diablo 3 because I called an NPC a fat cunt. I also spent time over at Onion Farms. It's pretty dead there, 700 ish users and only a handfull on at a time. Their chatroom was empty most of the time. It was depressing.

To my shame I’ve been spending more time on twatter, but it was like having sweetener rather than sugar, unsatisfying. It lacks the feeling of dysfunctional community here, its just all dysfunction. I’d have been back a bit sooner, but I’ve had problems getting the site to load till now.

Ahhhh, it feels really good to be here again.

Figured out more about how privacy tools on the Internet works, so I don’t get hacked or post TMI on the Internet on the future.

Lifted, read The Kingdom in the Sun (amazing history book about Norman Sicily), watched The Shield, finished Xenoblade 3. Good run actually.

Been pretty busy since the fall college semester started. Since farms were down I've been trawling youtube and social media for scraps of entertainment. Wondered how the amhole has been doing.
