What have you recently eaten?

It's just particularly awful. It's hard to imagine actually deliberately eating Golden Corral. It's just so fucking bad.

Even all but the worst chink buffets are better. These buffet things are for when you are stuck in some situation you have like $10 to eat for the entire day, that's the only time you'll get to eat, so you might as well just fill up with some slop.
I was promised an infinite amount of food for a finite price. The value offered at a buffet is the one thing that makes my lizard brain activate into turbo retard mode.

With the higher temperatures in Idaho, around 85F / 29.5 C, I have switched to more summer foods.

Sesame noodles, edamame, and a lentils in a light butter-shallot sauce.

Spinach-Ricotta ravioli with sautéed shrimp , edamame, Trader Joe's Toscano cheese with black pepper alongside crackers.

Made and devoured a homemade fish sandwich with buns I made this afternoon and fried fish fillets from a couple nights ago. Added some home-pickled onions and Japanese mayo, too. Best fish sammie ever.

Jinro green grape soju with onion rings and honey mustard

A 7.99 burrito that's actually pretty damn good, since the place they make them at in my town makes HUGE burritos even at the smaller sizes that can probably last you a day or two. Great for if you have cravings... not so much if you have IBS.

I had a double egg when I cracked an egg formy breakfast toastie.

Its a half piece of sourdough bread, some caramelized onions or roast peppers if I have any left over, I cook a sausage patty, wilt some spinach in the grease that comes from that while the toast is toasting, then put the wilted spinach, sausage patty, and top it with some cheese, then keep it in the toaster oven to melt the cheese while I fry an egg and coffee is making, its a pretty good all-day breakfast if you have time.

The double egg was a cool surprise but unfortunately was all of my luck instead of winning the lottery, or like finding a hundred dollar bill on the ground or something.

One of these. It's hard to only stick to one - I could eat the whole pack in one sitting.

They're nothing special per se, but to me they taste like childhood memories.
