Visited my Mom during the weekends, and I wanted to make her something relatively fancy, so this is what I had come up with:
Got some chicken and turkey breast cut up to roughly inch long cubes, spiced them with powdered paprika, rosemary, marjory, thyme, lemongrass, cumin, lovage and some ground ginger. After seasoning was done I've covered it in some marinade made of ajvar, worchester sauce and a little lime juice, soy sauce, chili sauce and a smidge of honey and had it sit in the fridge for a couple hours.
After that I've poured a little coconut and peanut oil into a bigger wok and fried the meat in it with some Californian paprika, carrot, broccoli, onion, garlic, and mung bean sprouts. The sauce had just the right thickness and quantity, and the whole meal had this very nice, smokey, rich, slightly tingy and caramelized taste to it. As a side dish I had made some steamed rice with turmeric, which was a champ at absorbing the sauce in all its juiciness. One of the better meals I had managed to whip up for sure.
