What have you recently eaten?

Decided to try a Baconator from Wendy's. They make a pretty decent burger. Not as good as my favorite burger shack, or the restaurant I go to once in a while, but still pretty good. The one near where I live, at least. Can't speak for other stores. Their fries are ass, though.

Made an old classic but a bit different. Whitefish, boiled potatoes, fresh broccoli boiled in vegetable stock and fried tomatoes. I just put the tomatoes in a cast iron pan with some spices and olive oil on top then put a lid on until they started to melt.
What made it different was that I poured some heavy cream into the frying pan with the fish as it started to flake and added some nice curry and other spices to it and let it boil down. The reason for doing this was that I discovered I was out of (real) butter and white pepper. Two very important flavors for simple whitefish.
Then I put the fried tomatoes down into the cream and gave it swirl with the fish, seemed like the right thing to do, then served it.
It was good but a bit too fancy/exotic for this simple dish(the old shippers scramble + the decadent greens and reds). I have eaten much worse at indian restaurants though.

I’m lazy today so I’m having mre Indian food, I had bhinji badji for breakfast and now I’m having Paneer makbani and chasing it with a big jug of water.

Having apple slices with cajeta (goat's milk caramel spread) and a piece of dark chocolate for dessert.

I hade one of those Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits, and chased it with black coffee and orange juice. My acid reflux is off the charts right now but it was good.

Beef burger between slices of challah with an obscene amount of very ripe brie. Smear of tomato relish. Apparently the cheese was a biohazard and stinking up the fridge so I was told to get rid of it. 10/10 would eat again.

Went to a fancy Japanese restaurant and had a crepe cake made from purple yams. Sounds kind of strange but it was incredible, never had anything quite like it. Looked similar to this one. I might have to try making it myself

On Sunday I took some top round steak that was from the grocery store butcher, put it on some rye bread, added onions, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and just enjoyed it raw.

Word to the wise--raw meat is TOUGH, so you'll need to physically tenderize it first.

I like to add in gochugaru (Korean red pepper) when I make bean sprouts.
Gochu is the pepper and garu means it's powdered or ground into flakes.

Depends on the cut (as in where on the animal it's from).

There is nothing quite as tasty as meat that needs to be stewed, especially if you do so with cumin, coriander and (a small amount of the fatty part of) coconut milk.

Still enjoying the post workout meal of black eyed peas with rucola, olive oil, garlic and half a bell pepper. Or exchange the garlic and pepper for tomato and rosemary.

Since it's friday I got a nice 12 piece for lunch. Cooking moules-frites, greek sallad and scallops for dinner.
