What have you recently eaten?

I made some Mac & Cheese and put crushed sweet chili Doritos in it for the lulz, it was actually really good. I’ll probably try it again with some other flavor.

God damn. A friend of mine gave me a packet of Samyang Buldak Chicken Ramen, and that shit is spicy as fuck. I was going to say that it's apparently only 4400 svu, but when I was trying to find where it was on the Scoville scale, I found a reddit thread where people were talking about how they regularly eat 40k and 300k svu peppers, and this stuff feels especially hot to them.

Anyone here who regularly eats spicy food ever try these noodles?

Yes. Not very spicy. The 2x was spicy when I added 1/4 teaspoon of reaper powder to it.

Saw a food truck profiled on public access TV that was making homemade corn dogs with Doritos coating to add crunch - either Cool Ranch or Jalapeno.

I know where they are located, but haven't tried it firsthand as of yet.

I have had this once but couldn't finish it. Shit is awful for your esophagus btw, like if you were to eat it frequently. If you enjoyed it maybe make it more of a rare treat unless you do not like your esophagus (but it works so hard for you, please try to appreciate it).

I don't remember if I mentioned it, but I made switchel.

Switchel is described by people as either colonial Gatorade or colonial New England lemonade. The former is justified because it has electrolytes (what plants crave), the latter because it has a contrast of sweet and bitter/tangy flavor and was all people in that time and place could make.

Switchel is made of water, maple syrup, and apple cider vinegar. I thought it was revolting on the first glass but was also compelled to try more. I got used to it very quickly. Very interesting drink.

Pretty sure that goes all the way back to ancient Roman posca, similarly a water, sweet, and a sour, although they'd have used wine vinegar and honey.
