What hobby should I pick up in 2021?

Start working out like JCVD in From Hell and then join an illegal Russian prison fighting ring.

Serious answer would be to do some mycology experiments, since your avatar is trippy it's safe to assume you'd be into psychedelics. If not you can grow a lot of non-psychedelic mushrooms in the same way. They're interesting to grow because of their unique conditions; being able to thrive in complete darkness, and the strength of their mycelium means they will consume, conquer and spread through many different types of growing substrates.

The hardest part of mushroom growing is keeping your working environment and materials sterile during the initial inoculation procedures, when you add the mushroom spores via spore syringe into the mason jar where the spores will grow. And then when you add the growth in the mason jar into your "fruiting" chamber, where the mushrooms will grow. If any germs infect the jar or your fruiting chamber, mold will own you and the entire batch is fucked. But you will be able to see this infection happening in a couple days, weeks, depending on many factors. It can be nerve wracking, because you'll want to get rid of any infectious batches quickly. They may contaminate others via the air. But after awhile the mushrooms gain strength and start to pop up and germs matter less.

I used to be a huge mushroom advocate a decade ago. Everything I know I learned from the shroomery forums, fantastic guides there and any question you have is already answered.

In the US, Canada and many other countries it is legal to purchase and possess psychedelic mushroom spores in a syringe (I have done so online) for microbiology study under a microscope.

Learn to shoot off fireworks and get licensed for that. Also chemistry and microbiology. If none of those are up your alley you can always just get into mothers. It really gives you a lot of leverage over local snotty teens, especially if you are their teacher.
