There's still long ass time passage so "dying constantly" would be more like "dying every 50 to 80 years". Still sucks but I don't think i'd be able to ween myself off that kind of thing. i'd probably do it more, honestly. Get weird acquaintances everywhere over the course of like however many years I'm alive without dying somehow.

I know the world will never be what I want it to be, and I will not fret over it.

You literally have unlimited time in this hypothetical. Sure you can't make the world exactly what you want it to be but you can blatantly influence stuff via living that long to begin with. Even if you don't intend to your continued presence probably has some small effect.

When you are 6 years old, a year is a very long time to you. A very long time. When you're 60, not so much. Imagine if you're 6000. Our psychology surrounding friendship and relationships and the like just seems to be different. I've got a very small few that I dedicate everything to, who I've been with for half my life. Losing them would be beyond devastating. So if I suddenly became ageless and could just live pretty much forever, I would have to stop letting people in. Otherwise at a certain point where everyone I love dies for the 5th time, I'd kill myself from the grief and to prevent me from having to go through it again. So I would just have to cut it out before it becomes a problem.

Time yes. Power no. The world is all about power, who controls the economy, who controls the narrative, and most importantly, who controls the violence. The world is ruled by satanic pedophiles ready to launch nukes if their power is threatened, and the world is populated by barely conscious fucktards who've allowed it to get to this point. If these people knew I was immortal, they'd abduct me and never let me go. It would be study after study trying to replicate the power so that the satanic pedophiles don't have to drink baby blood to stay alive anymore. The most influence I could have would be the creation of fictional stories. I'm already at that. But I suppose if I'm immortal, I can do it a lot. But with my psychology, the isolation of immortality would just make me extremely dettached. The world sucks, make babies and enjoy yourself.
