Borb didn't seem to be much better parents to their pre-Chris offspring

instead of a AAS CAAD degree and then gone on to UVA for a 4yr degree? He'd probably still be working on the 4yr degree or possibly expelled for something related his love quest
 
It took Chris 5 years to get a two year degree. Also, Chris wasn't in charge of his college educational goals in the beginning.

What if Bob has choosen the 4yr degree path instead of the CADD degree? Did Chris ever question those decisions or have any input into them?

No. He's a retard. Going to college and getting a degree was probably all Bob's idea. Chris didn't care one way or the other, he has absolutely no ambition in life.

what was Bob's ambition for Chris? DId Bob just send him to PVCC for day care since he couldn't keep even a Wendy's job? Why did Borb waste money for a degree Chris would have no use for?
 
Bob probably at one point had a vague hope that Chris would become a decently functioning member of society.
 
He could have a PhD and he'd still be sitting on his ass playing with legos and cursing people from his past.
