Containment What If?

Nothing can contain the Hoard. Not 14BC, not Bob's greenhouse, not the yard, nothing.

"Why contain it? Let it spill over the schools and churches, let the hoard pile up in the streets. In the end they'll beg us to save them."

What if Chris looked exactly like a slim, attractive woman?
It'll just give him an excuse to hate all JERKS and be a feminist. I can imagine all the blabbing on facebook about why men suck because of 'her' bans from the various locations, and as for the women who actually banned her, they are controlled by the society of men and turned back on their fellow gender.

Since slime and attractiveness were only the modification, I doubt it'll change hygiene.

To be honest, I think Chris' self perception is that of ... well. Whatever he seems best in the situation. When he tried to be manly and strong, he thought his flabby arms would be muscle-covered weapons of mass destruction, he always had the perception of himself of being slim and good looking.

So now he might think he's looking like a slim and attractive woman, based solely on his shaggy hair and clown makeup.
That's why I think his behaviour would be pretty much the same attitude but every once in a while he'd rant about guys doing catcalls or something. Maybe even have one meltdown about a lesbian that shunned his advances the moment she realized he had a duck.
Then again, maybe he would have found true love by merit of bodily attraction.

What if Kristian Bobovich Charkov lived in 19th century Russia?

Nah. Prince Myshkin from this novel is a sweet, good-natured man, more similar to a 19th-century version of Ulillillia than to OPL.
