Containment What If?

One of two things is likely to happen:

1) He will accuse her of faking her death in an attempt to go 'underground' and rule her Troll Subjects without fear of retribution from Chris, Godbear, Curse-ye-ha-me-has, or the police. Because obviously you can get away with anything if the world thinks you're dead. He'd make posts on FB about it and probably raise a LOT of ire. He may even demand pictures of the body, and invitation to the funeral, or something else to 'prove' to his satisfaction that the Queen of the Trolls is actually dead. He'll probably lose what few friends/White Knights he has left for this.

2) Her death will spur a complete 180 in terms of his opinion of her, and he'd go back to his 2006-level of obsession with her in terms of declaring his love for her and insisting that they were always meant to be together. He would probably actually genuinely mourn her and hurt from her loss, the same way he was hopelessly devastated when Patti died. Not to offend anyone by comparing Megan to a dog, just that Patti is, as far as I can tell, the only living creature whose death actually impacted him the way the death of a loved one impacts normal people.

It's also possible that he would 'mourn' her in the same way he 'mourned' other loved ones who have died, real and fictional--he'd make some cursory attempt at appearing saddened by the loss, make a few Facebook posts about how she was such a good friend and yadda yadda. But considering that he thinks Megan is the Queen of Trolls, this possibility is pretty easy to dismiss, despite how weird and fucked up his perception of death is.

Not sure if this have been asked before, but what do you guys think would have happened if Chris had made Sonichu nowadays.

I'm talking about him creating the character after most of the sagas that made him infamous (I'd say just before the Oct. 28th, 2011 incident would be a good starting point).

Let's say that around in Chris' early infant years, Bob had left Barb, and had legal custody of the young baby. Do you think his life could have gone better or worse without his real mother in his life? How would he have ended up?

That depends.

Does Bob have a completely different way of thinking in this universe (i.e. force Chris to get a job)? Or is he the exact same?

Ultimately Chris would no longer have a target for all of his bitterness and frustration with his life, and he would feel an even greater void in his life. He may even void himself (yet again). :briefs:

Nonsense.
His shitlist is hundreds of pages long.
Somebody -- probably Snyder -- would just get promoted to Twoll Emprah, and the cycle of scapegoating would continue unabated.
It would take the complete obliteration of every other sentient lifeform in existence for him to run out of other people to blame for his failures....and even then, he has no qualms about blaming ghosts and capricious gods. 'Cuz we all know how much Da GodBear loves to fuck him widdle Kwis'tard.

Many laughs would have been had, likely, and it would have been taken as yet another example of Chris' delusional childishness.

More importantly, every single saga related to Sonichu would have never happened. No Shigeru Miyamoto, no Blanca destroying the medallion, no BlueSpike making him shove the medallion up his ass. No Sonichu board on this forum. Asperchu would have never been made, and anything that came from the comics (Count Graduon, the sexualization of Mary Lee Walsh, terms like "heartsweet" and "sweetbolt", etc.) would not exist or would only be a new term that confuses everyone who's showing up recently, like q-sand.

It's amazing to think about how much of the modern CWC culture (what an odd term to use) is based around Sonichu.

He was pretty devastated after Bob's death. I don't think a lot of people were really expecting that, since they had some animosity between them and Chris had his whole "I have to respect him, not love him" thing going on. But like I said, death doesn't really impact you until it actually happens. Chris was pretty shaken by his father's death, and I don't think he really planned for having to cope with Bob being permanently gone.

Well, Hey, Chris thought that the Grim Reaper and himself had an understanding.
Chris didn't expect the Incarnation of Death to renege on their "deal".

Two words: Military School.

Now, picture Chris as a cadet-in-training.

Now imagine what his idea of his ideal fantasy world would look like.

Camp CWCsfort, where Commandant Chris trains all these young strapping lads to stay on the straight path so they don't become commie gay muslim atheists.

I actually think Chris would be more upset than we think. He talks about Megan being a troll or queen of trolls, but I think somewhere in the back of his mind he still may carry a torch for her in some way. If she dropped everything and showed up to his doorstep to apologize and ask for his love, he'd forget all of his anger in less than a second. I have some girls that I never want to speak to again, who caused me pain and ruined my relationships out of spite, and I'd still feel awful if they died. I could never tell you why, but I would.

This. I think that Chris ultimately wants to reconcile with Megan. As he wrote on October last year, he wants her to apologize to him (and make other amends for supposed wrongdoing). He's angry at her, but he also wants her to "pay" for the misdeeds he attributes to her so they can be friends again. Megan's death would upset him because he's still attached to her, and also because it would be the death of a remnant of a better time in his life. Despite all of his vitriol toward the Game Place, I'm sure that the only thing he would love more than going back to the time in which he was allowed there is to go back to Manchester High.

Aside from the "Add A-Log as a Sonichu character", one other thing I'd do if I traveled back in time and change Christory is recording Chris' card battles at the Game Place, especially where he claimed himself to be the "level-up king".

Along these lines, basically this is like asking, "What do you think would have happened if Hitler had invaded Poland after World War II?"

( :alog: and all that)

And by "friends" we mean "sweethearts." I don't think Chris can ever view Megan as purely a friend. Even if he said so, he'd be forever trying to get in her pants until she fled again.

What kind of military school would have even taken Chris? Could Bob even afford it?

Why do I have this niggling fear that 'The Death of Megan' may turn into a new attempt at a saga by some ween kids?

While on the twitter, I stumbled upon this link, and it instantly made me think of Chris.

http : // www dot patreon dot com / coolblue

I kinda wonder too, what would happen, in an alternative universe, if Chris tried to set something like this up? Obviously, it'd only be weens and possibly some of us who would actually become a patron to him, it would be a long, drawn out process just because setting the goddanged patreon site up would be stress enough for (:_( and all, and he wouldn't meet his deadlines, but would Chris' internet infamy be enough that, were he actually to try something like this (whether it be pornographic or not), he'd achieve some measure of success?

Sorry, it made it a clickable link automatically. I dunno how many people browse these forums at work, I'll edit it real quick.

He'd probably rework reality in his head so that someone else was the Queen/King of the Trolls all along. What's important to Chris is not that he finds his arch enemy, but that thereis an arch enemy for him to blame his life on. Probably he'll decide Snyder put her up to it and tricked him into blaming her.

In the short term, there'd probably be an insincere YouTube video that briefly talks about Megan before moving on to how he knew Megan and then just talking about himself.

I'd shit myself and do nothing.

Alternatively, I'd like to travel back in time to the late 1990s and give Chris a full account of his life from then to 2014, explaining exactly where he went wrong, and then see if he takes the advice or just does exactly the same thing all over again.

Or travel back to the 1940s and give a young Jimmy Hill the idea for a comic called 'Sonichu.'

Hmm... maybe have Chris win the contest and get that trip with Megan. She said she wouldn't have gone, but I'm not so sure- she might have gone just because it'd have been a chance for her to go to a big convention. I think she'd have brought someone with her, though. It'd be interesting to see how Megan would have fielded Chris's overtures.

Or perhaps I'd have Chris go to spend time with Coleslaw in NYC. Maybe even have Chris successfully get the name of Cole's true father. Well, the name that Cole really wants it to be. I wonder what NYC culture would do to Chris.

He'd whine about the pressure of having to make new pages, not create anything new, and the whole thing would be a giant clusterfuck. Plus most of us would rather give cash to someone like Alec, _blank_, or a webcomics artist we like to produce content that isn't completely awful.
