Containment What If?

What if Chris went back to the ruins of 14BLC and found an Organic Substance growing in his old room?
Organic matter does not simply grow in 14 Branchland Court. There is evil there that does not sleep. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and ash and dust, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume. Not with 10,000 plants could you do this.

What if you grabbed Chris' head and shaked it? Would you hear a little brain rattling around like a peanut inside?

He would scare the small children he played the Card Games with.

you must be thinking of a different Barb.

Nah, I can see Barb using tears if she thought it would guilt trip Chris. If he did start going off on her hard core then odds are it would be because she was screaming angrily at him. People like her, they know that if screaming doesn't work then breaking out the crocodile tears is their next ploy.

Pretty sure she's done this multiple times to him already.

She's threatened suicide over Chris misbehaving, seems to me that someone who would do that would use crocodile tears on a pretty regular basis.

What if Chris was called up to serve in the US Armed Forces?

Would he pass the test or would they wash him out. Or could he actually be made into something?

The marines biggest challenge is not a battle but a man-child!

The army would take one look at him and go "Nope", and that would be the end of that. Chris would then make a facebook post about how he's a proud tomgirl warrior in the army and that he deserves to have a medal because all the stress the trolls caused him is just like actual war.

I think if they'd got him about a decade ago, they might have been able to do something with him. He wasn't as monumentally unhealthy or mentally bizarre. Being placed in a situation where he absolutely had no option but to do what he was told, when he was told, with rigid hierarchy and structure, would probably have done him the world of good. If he'd tried to tard rage, punishment detail.

These days, though, not a chance. A guy who's been on cholesterol meds since his 20s ain't going to pass the physical. And that's assuming his mental state is fine, which I suspect these days it probably wouldn't be.

To my understanding, Most autistics don't opt to join the military. Chris may give out threats, but he doesn't intend on acting on them, and he literally shat his bed in fear at the threat of death...if that's how Chris really reacts to potential death, than health is the least of his concerns...

He said in one of the mailbags that he would never serve in the military. But no, I don't think he would even be taken seriously by any recruiter given his poor physical shape if he wanted to join.

The biggest problem for him I'd imagine is dealing with the drill instructors and the absolute authority they have over you, so he would feel like the stress would be absolutely overbearing.

He would never get past the physical examination, nor the mental one. The US army is not dumb enough to let a half-sane, very obese man serve in it. He would be more of a danger to his squad mates than the enemy.

Don't even compare the two, Lawrence at least eventually did succeed at the physical tasks, and was an excellent sharpshooter who was a genius with rifles.

I could not pull myself up, but even I could do , if needed, miscellaneus tasks in a military, like watching a viewscreen or taking invetory or such.

Chris could never handle such responsibilities. REmember, he is a child mentally. He would just play soldier with the live grenades....

Chris is fat, but he's not like some completely unrealistic tub of lard. There are people fatter than him in the U.S military and other militaries around the world.
I don't know what his weight/height is at the current moment but he doesn't look obese, merely fat.
