Logically, he'd stop and go back to the Classic Chris look. However, because logic is not a thing with him, the more likely outcome is that he'd just keep dressing that way and get STRESSED about the fact that it's still not working. Probably start a Facebook page demanding that all men cross-dress badly because no one wants to see their dog-gone ugly pants and shirts.

What if Chris had been born in a huge urban center instead of Middle-of-nowhereville , Virginia?

Would we even know about him?
Would living in a bigger population center make it more likely for The Chandlers to be reported for hoarding and basically not offering their kid proper care in many areas?

Hoarding's not against the law and I don't think Bob and Barb were negligent of Chris in a legally actionable way when he was a minor.

Interesting question. It's made slightly more complicated by the fact that we don't know much about how he's viewed in real life at the moment. Do the people of Ruckersville think he's a harmless eccentric? Are they scared of him? Do they pity him? Does he get taunted and not realise?
In a lot of big cities he'd probably be regarded as just another weirdo - somewhere like New York, he'd barely even stand out. But I think he'd be in a better position, because with more people around it would be harder for him to be isolated. He could probably find people his own age who share his interests, so he might have friends, and with actual IRL friends he'd have someone to guide him. They'd probably be geeks like him, but that's a lot better than having to live in his own head. He'd likely be more culturally aware, just from exposure to pop culture out on the streets. A lot of the sagas probably wouldn't have happened, because I doubt he'd be online as much.

Or he'd get sensory overload, shit himself and hide under the bed.
