Containment What If?

What if Chris was as severely autistic, had the same background, same shitty art and unable to improve his art and life... but actually was trying his darnest, was actually a legitimately nice person, and would actually be more than willing to listen and work with the white knights to improve his life... but kept failing anyhow despite his best efforts?

I personally think a situation like that would be far too tragic to laugh at.

It would be far too tragic.

Recycling my response to a similar question....

What makes Chris's comic so shitty -and made him such a perfect target for trolls- is that he is unsympathetic. Lots of his material is wish fulfillment of childish grudges.

Were Chris a kindly slow kid with an imaginary friend, most trolling would have never happened in the first place. His comic would be uninteresting and derivative, but he'd just make it for himself and maybe have a following of little kids who enjoyed his simple stories and didn't really care about the art -a yellow sonic who shoots lightning and is fast as lightning is good enough for a five-year-old.

I'm with Morbid Boredom on this one.
Noone would have really taken notice of Chris' creation outside of a "Look at that weird recolor" and the moment it was clear it originated off a likeable goofball who got dealt a shitty hand in life, people would pity him and then maybe move on.

The thing is, if he was a nice person that listened to people, work with them and actually was willing to put some elbow greased strength into whatever he was doing, he simply wouldn't be this miserable. He'd have friends for a start. He'd have a social life. He'd have prospects and something that makes him at least want to improve instead of just whining about how noone likes him and noone respects him.

He probably would've realised how to actually profit from his "franchise" at a time when he wasn't so paranoid about trolls. Merchandise probably could've expanded into more things... Likely leading to a C&D, but he would've made nearly, as we Britbongs call it, "A grand number of pounds" from selling his stuff.
I don't know, I think that would've killed some of his genuineness (and thus his market).

What if Chris died BEFORE Barb?

He would just get lost in the hoard.

Then anyone who dared to troll him would be nothing but a cruel cyberbully.

What if Chris cursed you to become him?
What would you do?

I would shit myself and do nothing.

I think I'd still read it if people online talked about it. It's hilariously bad and it gives me something to do when I'm bored.
