What is causing the rise of degenerate fetishes?

Inflation, vore, farts, its all more common than it was. Why is this?

I personally believe there are two kinds of fetishists: The "true" fetishists who are legitimately aroused by a very specific thing or act, and the people who are more attracted to the idea of sexual deviance or extremity in itself.

This is something I noticed too. There is a massive difference between the guy who has been into poop since before he could even pop a boner, and the guy who consumes three terabytes of hentai daily so why not watch the insect orgy sex?

It's really not that common. Weirdos just seem more common because the internet lets them find like minded people. Ask a random person in real life about fetishes and they won't even know what a fetish is.

If google is anything to go by, this may not be the case. It's hard to find good search terms because of how google trends work, but it seems fetishes are on the rise.
