I like the frame it makes it feel official. Like it should be hung in a museum of modern art. Chris could count as an outsider artist I suppose. This is as close to a properly drawn Sonichu and Rosechu as Chris can possibly get.

Wow. Chris actually put effort into that. Still looks like an 8 year old drew it, but Id hang it on the fridge. Its alot better than 99 percent of what hes put out. This is as close to a properly drawn Sonichu and Rosechu as Chris can possibly get.

I' love the speedlines Chris drew, like this is some fast-paced anime battle.
I second this- I'd actually really like to see the difference in such a vast timespan. My only question is which piece of art are we considering his first? The first time he drew sonichu in like, what, first grade? The first comic? A shitty cat he drew when he was four?I don't understand how even with autism his art hasn't improved in the slightest. You'd think after enough repetition he'd gain some kind of skill. Out of curiosity does anyone know his oldest & newest peice of art? I'm curious to see if there's any difference in quality.
Why is the wooden badge delicious?View attachment 1750575
Ive always loved this cover. Ot brings me back to that magical time when no one knew anything about him and there wasnt extensive research into what "my wooden badge was delicious" meant.
It just has a cool nior feel to it too. Walking down a lonely avenue, streetlight on him. You can hear the sax playing in the background.
The first time he drew Sonichu was his senior year in high school, and it was for a class project where he had to create cover art for a CD. He then used the same drawing of Sonichu for a homemade Pokemon card, as seen here:I second this- I'd actually really like to see the difference in such a vast timespan. This is some full on 80's IRA Northern Ireland shit. Well done Chris.
I mean technically it is...improvement, even if it's like, improvement over 20 years, that is only minimally noticeable...The first time he drew Sonichu was his senior year in high school, and it was for a class project where he had to create cover art for a CD. As someone else noted above, this is one of the most recent pieces containing Sonichu. Qualitatively speaking, about the only things he's gotten better at are his linework and his eyes, and even then he's still not consistent with either of those. Perspective, foreshortening, anatomy, coloring, shading, and everything else in his art remains elementary-school-level at best.

A popular furry porn artistSometimes I wonder what a different timeline where Chris was a high quality but still autistic artist would look like
