I've read all about it and watched all the videos in it but I don't know what it really is

can you provide some sources so I wouldn't have to google in the dark to figure out what's it about?

Well, it was a ruse to boost the popularity of shitty soundcloud band. Quite interesting, but still a ruse and the music isn't worth it at all.

A stupid, boring, non-creepy ARG that was created to promote a shitty band. Why it garnered so much attention despite being uninterested af, I'll never know

Ninja'd but "in-universe" Erratas is supposed to be a code to blacklist people for both comitting mistakes on sweatshops in NE US and knowing what it is.
Erratas means error in latin and is a common word in romance languages.

At least someone else on Teepee Harms is interested in languages.

Anyways let's move on, this ARG is basically the definition of USI-Syndrome/Unwanted Self Importance Syndrome.

And that is it.

It's very low hanging fruit for spoopy mystery YouTubers like Blameitonjorge and Nexpo to work with.

Every video on it is like "what IS it????? OwO" but it really is just an ARG for some band. Even the addresses in Kentucky they mentioned go nowhere.

It'd probably be trivial to set up something just like Erratas by creepyposting between here and Reddit about something, and then we can all have a laugh when the spoopy YouTubers talk about KF like it's some super dangerous darknet site

If I had a dollar for every time one of these "mysteries" turned out to be exaggerated or flat out bullshit I'd be able to buy a Cybertruck. Like seriously, whenever something's "unexplainable" it's either because something's left out or some detail's off because so few people actually look into this shit. Elisa Lam for example where there was all sorts of shit about how she couldn't access the roof so all these people that made videos just rolled along with that as fact, when in reality the hotel was lying about how secure the roof was to try and cover their ass.

Hell, at least with Elisa Lam you have actual footage of a mentally disturbed woman's last moments. With Erratas, all you have is just shitty music, weird Jurassic Park videos, and a police sketch of James Charles.

Personally I find a case like Elisa Lam much more irritating, there's a actual interesting case there even without all the stupid paranormal shit people like to shove in. At least with something like Erratas or Wyoming Incident once you know it's bullshit you can just ignore it completely, or sit back and laugh at everyone that thinks it's real as well as how autistic ARGs can get.
