Almost every political lefty makes a huge deal about food, especially when it comes to immigration/diversity.

"Lol, don't like immigrants? Who will pick berries?! Say goodbye to strawberries in December."

Okay. Goodbye Decemberries!

"What about your avacados, millennial?" or "Where will you get your tacos and tapas if we don't allow anyone with a heartbeat to stroll across the border?"

As if immigration and (gradual) integration can't bring us the same thing. Pizza? Shwarma? Curry? Sushi? Hummus? These things exist in America, despite heavy vetting of immigrants for decades.

I don't know. I'm kind of drunk, but I've just heard a metric ton of people make the food argument for unfettered mass immigration lately and I cannot put my finger on why it's a crock of shit. But it's absolutely a crock of shit.

A lot of the food industry heavily depends on foreign and immigrant labor and these foods have become parts of american culture , so disruption of immigration or export illegal immigration and damaging relations could cause problems with peoples daily live.By pointing out that it will inconvenience peoples daily lives it gets people to care about it more since a lot of people tend to ignore politics.

Look, I grew up in an area with migrating farm workers. Many small acreage farms and orchards. Workers would stick around for one harvest, then move on to the next one. Farm work is actually not a consistent job, when it comes to picking. These folks travel around (like carnies) all summer long and get work from place to place. And there obviously haven't been American teenagers, or anyone else for that matter, signing up for this kind of sporadic hard labour job, for a week at a time in many different locations. Otherwise, farmers would hire them. You take what you can get, when it comes to farmhands.

I disagree. The continued production of crops and livestock is the lifeblood of this country. People can put up with many things, but when they get hungry, that is when wars start. Understanding that a country is run best on its full belly is paramount to any political argument.

But the people we are discussing don't know and also don't really care. They'll sabotage anything and everything for a win, consequences be dammed. Look at the ridiculous riots happening right now in America. Look at how the left has completely undermined the national government of the United States. Look at any of the last ten years of leftist activity in the United States and tell me that there is some larger goal other than getting a victory for a day for a little more control over the person in their line of sight. There is no plan, there is only a desire for control.
