Not what I'd call a fad, and the idea of mass produced physical media really isn't dying in it's entirety, and I'd say it's death is being called for by people that want to take content licenses away from people. Though really, physical media's torch has been passed on to hard drives, ssds, and flash storage. People all over host their own media servers now. There is in fact more control someone can have over digital content right now, discounting DRM, then there was. But the DRM problem may reverse that trend.

Mushrooms were super popular around me for like 2 years and then just went out of style.

But for those two years most of the drug dealers weren't screaming at their girlfriends every night, and most of the junkies were fucked off in the woods away from me trying to forage

Then fake ecstasy became the big thing and right back to obnoxious house music

I miss when minitrucks and riced out compact cars where everywhere.

The lifted trucks with spacers who never go off-road trend has been going on way too long. Underglow isn’t any faggier than trying to look as hyper masculine as possible (without leaving pavement) to impress other men.

Hot Topic today is a hollow shell of its OG self. Imagine the formerly "emo store" for "outcasts" selling Kpop merch and basically bandwagoning on whatever is "trendy" for money, but HT has probably been that way for half its existence probably. What corporate does to a mf 😔

Non woke sports. Ron Jaworski era NFL pervasiveness was so good. I never had to worry about having a conversation with anyone because EVERYONE could talk about football. Now only slobbering retards watch it and they're not capable of conversation.
