What is the average IQ of a Farmer?

Solution
I am proud to say I am officially above a 100.

I don't know about the average though, outliers will most likely weight us down more than up. So most likely under average.

Above 100 isn't saying much, since the typical SD for a given heterogeneous population is 15.

Between 115 and 130 is above average, 131-145 is gifted, 146-160 is superior, 161+ is genius level, etc...

So, ~68% of a heterogeneous population that is "typical will be 85-115, another ~27% will be 1 SD below and above that, so 70-84/116-130, another ~4.7% will be 2nd SD below and above the 1 SD, so 55-74/131-145, another ~0.3% will be 3nd SD below and above the 2 SD, so 50-74/146-160, and beyond that it is so small that standard deviations aren't worth much of...

Hence why true "genius" is so rare.

The curve in the US is probably right-shifted, for the most part, since the majority of people, until recently, that were immigrants were of the higher standard deviations from their respective populations, the so-called "brain drain" effect the US has on most of the rest of the world. However, with immigration now being allowed for just crossing the border, that is likely no longer true, and might even left-shift the curve. But it will take quite a while for this phenomenon to push the SD back toward a normal distribution.

Most people the average person considers "smart" are likely in the 2nd standard deviation.

I agree with both statements.

I am not saying this answer is not informative, but it's pretty autistic too.

If we decide to focus on KF, I think that going by SD as if the place was representative of general observation is wrong.

There is no denying that there are somewhat smart people here, but the number of legit retards is impressive. The topics the website covers just foster it. I doubt the other end of the IQ spectrum is represented as much, if at all.

At the end of the day, I am the first one to be happy to laugh at some retard who did something retarded. But to get there, some people actually consumed the content on a consistent basis. Not a very high IQ move.

But that's fine, because I appreciate them for it. IQ does not mean much when it comes to valuing a human being.
